Looking to buy a speed camera detector. But which is the best unit to buy?? Want one with laser detection really as we only have 0 fixed speed cameras local too me :)

Went an bough myself this yesterday. Really happy with it and what a car. Had to show about 50 people in work it today :D Got it for £9550, just had its C service, new P6000 on the fronts & in all seems very well looked after. Its got 39,000 on the clock and has a complete specialist/lotus service history. Had to sit in traffic for 3 hours with it on the way home though :( Took us 2 1/2 hours to get there and 6 1/2 back. I love it :)

Does anyone know of any good lotus forums??

Thinking of getting one of these for around £8-9000. I do about a 1 mile drive to work and do about 6,000 miles a year, and dont have kids etc etc so practicality isnt an issue. I know it might not be the best place to ask on VW site but what do people think of them and are there any problems or plus points i should consider?

ye i need to do the matrix buddy cos with the rain at the mo and no heaters its getting fogged up :( Need to order the matrix really and then do it in one go. Get paid in about 2 weeks though so will have to wait until then...

Mine went the other day and the RAC just bypassed it like everyone has said. Just need a chance now to fix it as i havnt any heaters now lol.

finaly go the car back today 16 days after they picked it up. Really glad to have it back after driving a ford KA about. I hate not having a car people dont notice! Forgot how low down the car is when i took it for a spin... Happy days... Pleased with the job on the car and the colour match is good. They sprayed the whole side in the end and fixed a dent & key mark i had on the back pannel at the same time too. So if you need a repair or new pannel just get sombody to crash into you.... Funny how things turn out lol

Driving along after having a water leek for a few days and the whole thing turned into a steam room behind the dash :roll: Must have been a pipe on the heater matrix but the water was all on the drivers side? Which pipe would this be and will i have to remove the whole dash to change it?

Really like the look of these wheels. What are they and could i get some for the 16v?

Repair shop came and looked at the damage to the car this AM and listed what needed doing. She really liked the car and said that for £100 cash in hand they will do the bang on the back arch which has been there since i bought the car wilst they do the front, so all in all gonna look better then it has since i bought the thing. :)

Got it to open with a little force and looks like the pannel that goes from wing to wing at the front has bent too so i assume they will just replace that also...??

Just phoned the insurance and they vare picking it up in the next frew days to go to a body shop. Getting some shitty 1.0l car lol Only thing that made me worry about it being written off is cos the bonet doesnt open...
