Came to the car yesterday and found it had been hit by a removals van. Talked to the fella who had just moved in down the road and he was sound and gave me all his details etc. Do you thik it could be a write off though as the bonet doesnt open now so somthing else must be twisted...

Can anyone explain to me why after changing my fuel filter, the car has almost totaly stopped burning oil and pouring out smoke?? Was really bad and the car had picked up the nick name SMOKEY JOE from my mates but after spending £15 on the filter its almost totaly stopped and isnt burning oil.... ??

Ive been there but never had chance to take the car there for anything. Phil used to take his there alot and pegg's swears by him too so will try and take it there for a service and a tune at some point i think.

took it to my next doors garage who do the work but they take it down to farrer road for the MOT and they are very fussy which is good and bad in a ways. Its rear bushes and front brake lines. i guess it isnt too bad just a shame the the front lights are £100. oh well

Car failed today. Needed a few new thing but the major one was the R/H lamp reflector has gone so that is £91 from the off :( Gutted!! Add £40 for the MOT and the pipes and bushes that need doing.... Poo

Changed the fuel filter and put some optimax in today and re-did my 0-60. Pleased with it considering the car has done 160,125 miles and hasnt been in for a service for 2 years

Changed the fuel filter. Didnt think it would make any difference but seems to have a touch more pull and be a little smoother. The old one was really old from the look of it. Also fitted a new fog light bulb.

Does anyone know if my Tesco car insurance will cover just the windscreen or will it also cover the rubber around it as its leaking as the bond seems to have gone in the corner...?

It was the demo car so it was 6 weeks old and had 1500 mile on the clock. She saved £1500 on new price because of this. Then i made her get the 17's which she got for £750 new so got the standard 16's for sale if anyone is intrested??

Just made my mum buy this over a new shape mini... Thinik its really nice and she got the six speed 2.0 TDI sport and was shocked by how fast it is. I wont race her just in case she whoops me

Heres mine. Couldnt get the camera to stop falling when the run starts and its on the side lol. Also didnt hit 60 in second gear cos i changed just before. :/ So not the most successful on the spot 0-80...

I’ve had a 1.8 16v for over 2 years and only needed to buy a new tire for it and £80 on both MOT's. Been very reliable and cant decide if i should sell it or keep it as its been so good. When people ask what’s the mileage and i say 159,000 they laugh and take the piss until i tell them that once there "ford" has done that many miles it will probably be getting crushed :)

Ye always sounds best with good speakers up front and then a sub for the base without 6x9's. Creates a good soundscape...

lol. have to wait a month for the MOT but might just run it into the ground. Only has to last 6 months and then its paid for :)

Is the engine different in anyway?

Whats the difference between the standard vr6 mk3 and the Highline ver??
-
well i would much prefer a C vr6 than a golf vr6 to be honest :) A golf vr6 just doesnt stand out like a Corrado.
-
ye looking on autotrader i could get a nice vr6 mk3 for £4000... what kind of corrado vry would i get for £4000 ??
-
Ive never been in a corrado crash (touch wood) but my mates mk2 was wasted. So i want somthing safer + VW really.... and day before he died i said i was gonna get a vr6 of some sort and feel i should as he was super jelous as he wanted one for ages lol....

Its not as cleen as it looks in the pic. It is well looked after but it does have a few knocks on it but these could be sorted for a few £££. Really fancy somthing different having had this for almost 3 years. Doubt i would have problems selling it as i work in Tesco and all the staff love it so selling isnt an issue i dont think just for how much is. I paid £1800 for it 2 1/2 years ago and just put BBS on it and a few little mods. If i where to sell it too what would be a good upgrade for £4000. Been reading the other thred on what to get for £3 - £5k and Vr6 Golf is safe and quicker than what i have now?
-
heres me with my corrado.... my hair looks very tall in that pic... ouch :?

Thinking of selling my 16v in the near future, and want something a bit faster and a bit safer too maybe after my mate’s unfortunate crash. Thinking of a mk3 vr6 as i have £4000 to spend an a new car and cant really afford a vr6 C or afford the up-keep of a g60..... So just wondering what i should ask for my 16v or shall i just keep it until it dies?? Details: H Reg 159,120 miles FSH until 138,000 Runs well and always starts, burns some oil but nothing major, has 12 months MOT (cost £80 for the past three MOTS & hasnt needed anything major fixing) Had new timing belt in 2002 at 140,000 miles.
