Hi Twin45... I didn't see a reply so don't know if you noticed my post. Do you have any late bonnets in LC6U green? Don't mind the odd stone chip as mine already has those, just no lacqure peel or dents.

Do you have a late style bonnet in classic grren pearl (LC6U) Mines suffering clear coat failure and its either a respray or find a good replacement!?

Old thread revival.............................. Getting new wishbones/bushes/ball joints/arb links/arb bushes/top mounts/inner tie rods/ tie rod ends and a few other bits. However the garage cannot fit me in until a week on friday. My question is, After a look about underneath to see what i needed, i noticed that one of the bottom ball joint pinch bolts has snapped where the nut should be. I really need to drive the car but if i risk the ball joint/wishbone coming out its staying in the drive. Will it by design stay where it is? I tried to remove the bolt but it wasn't budging so figured i would wait as the garage will have the whole hub off to change the bits i need and they can get it out.

I have noticed that the nut/bolt holding the ball joint (mounted onto the end of the wishbone)into the hub has broken. I need to get a replacement to put in until i get the car into a garage. Does anyone konw the size and length of this bolt? Thanks for the help in advance, Darren

prettu sure i have that interor at home in the garage. don't want to split though, the drivers seat is a bit worn but the rest is good.
-
well i could do 40, don't think thats too bad a price tbh. £15 is dam cheap if you can get it!
-
sounds the same as mine with the 'get me home' wheel dude.
-
i don't believe there is any dirrerence between old/late spec doors but i got it for my late 95 car originally. Looking at around 50 which is what i paid for the bare door. I'll email you pics if you need?

got two sets of grey interior but sods law....... don't have that one sorry. Is it the bolster thats worn btw? I got a vehicle retrimmers to make a full repair panel for my black interior. Cost about £30

got the later rear carpets and the smaller spare wheel (4 x 100 wheel) if that would be any help for you?
-
i have a red door in good condition. Postage would be expensive i would have thought though. Any good?
-
can you pm me a pic of the pattern? i have one complete interior with a worn drivers seat in grey but also an old passenger seat in grey in my garage that may help you
-
I have some late front indicators. In pretty good condition. From memory one has a mark where a stone hit it (like a star) but not bracked or broken. if you pm me your email i could send pics!?

where abouts are you mate? I have 2 or 3 stripped seat backs knocking about. they may have the wires in :)
-
i have a drivers wing in black thats not in bad nick. only problem, i'm in norfolk so its a good couple of hours away i would have thought. do have quite a few other bits for corrados knocking about if you needed anything else to make it worth while though.

well it worked :) i now have a door i can open without the handle falling out lol. Thanks Dave. Only issue is that the central locking doesn't work off the key. TBH i can't remeber if that was a faulty handle or not but it works off the remote and drivers door so i can live with it like that for a while

garage put extended wheel nuts through my wheel bearing ?
renson replied to ross k's topic in Drivetrain
that sucks!!!!!! TBH i'm not surprised though, i work in the garage trade, not as a machanic but deal with them everyday. The amount of times i get calls for 'your fu**ing machines not reading right its failing cars on emissions or the brake forces are all over the place' etc etc. 99% of the time its them or that car thats at fault, a lot of mechanics today are really just 'fitters' and all they do is swap old for new. Anything that takes a bit of brain power or common sense seems beyond them :/ I'd take it back to them with the photographs and see what they will do, call citizens advise first so you are armed with all the information you will need. If they say no and there are other customers about, make sure you make a scene, they won't like that . Good luck -
fair enough lol. drinking on a school night tut tut tut :) I think i have keys for both handles so.............. wish me luck. Just modified the replacement handle and used your kit which was spot on thanks, it now seems to function as it should but the test will be on the car if it can hold up i suppose. Now just need to remove the screw from the door which is badly mangled so that gonna need drilling out on my lunch. Not sure if its a left or right hand tread so i'm probably going to retap the thread in the replacement so i can get it all done today.
-
will do :) thought it would just be swapping like for like no messing lol. I'll dismantle the spare first, just in case i balls it up. is there a how to anywhere on here? Sorry to be a pain
-
could i not just use the barrel/tumbers from my lock currently in the door??
-
Its the hole where the piviot pin pushes through. Thinking if i tap the hole then nip it up with a plastic washer between it it just may work. Just got to swap the key barrel out which doesn't look too bad, Take its just a case of pulling the c clip off and swap it.
