ahhhhh...... poo :( ---------- Post added at 10:21 PM ---------- Previous post was at 9:30 PM ---------- dave16v..... i have a repair kit i brought from you i think (was off this forum a few years back) don't have the instructions though. Managed to find an old broken drivers handle. Its not broken like mine is now but it wasn't the lever that was the only thing broken thats why i didn't use the repair kit. Where its broken is the outer loop where you put the screw for it to pivot correctly. Any ideas if i could modify this even for a temp fix till i can find another replacement?

So i went to the car this morning and managed to pull my drivers door handle off the car. I can see whats happened, its broken where the screw goes into the rear to secure it so its not fixed at the back now and just pulls out. I know its now a complete replacement handle but my question is are the handles sided? In typical fashion i have a spare passenger handle..... however i also have a spare drivers door repair kit. Can i make 1 good drivers handle using these parts?? Also with the handle floating about and very easy to remove, how easy is it for someone to get in? Regards, Darren

I would say that the 0.3% Pass wasn't actually HC's as they are measured in PPM. You are more than likely failing on CO. I don't run a cat and even at fast idle mine fails but only at 0.5%. I would get the garage to test your car on a standard test with live readings rather than in the MoT test. This way you will get the CO. CO2, O2, HC's and Lambda all displayed. That way you will better see what the engine is doing.

Are the passenger door and bonnet avaliable? If so what condition are they in? Regards, Darren

honestly, there seems to be quite a few round here! there were 2 badly modified ones a few miles away with mad paint jobs, 1 near my sisters a few miles out of lynn and i know there was a Classic green Storm being restored in bircham near me. There are a few more too, got pics of a few of them. Never used to see them, had mine 6 years now and they seem to be everywhere :)
-
Must all be in kings lynn! i have 2, i know another member on here has 2, and there are a few more knocking about that i see on a regular basis. I know of 2 that used to be down my Dads street and then my mate who lives the opposite side of the road to my Mums house had a white VR6. There was another owned by an old member on here that had one just up the road from her aswell, and there used to always be a nugget in the carpark near work....................... Oh and a white one but i heard a roumor the wheel came off that while driving and its off the road, there is also a blue VR6 i see often on the bypass lol

Mine is intermittant in the wet or cold. It won't work for the first half mile or so then kicks in fine for the rest of the day. When i looked at the sensor on top if the gearbox it was very loose so i tightened it up hoping it would be that simple. Didn't work but i think the cold/water/ice has killed it. I will get a new one and change it at some point but now its warmer and drier it seems fine. Had to chop a spanner up to get at it though as its in an awkward place!! And as i write this i have just thought, i have a gearbox in my garage and one on my breaker to rob the part from......... what a numpty!

i've got this one. It was in my Corrado when i brought it, but i changed from a flat rear to a humped rear seat but seems slightly bigger than the one in the hump. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?77789-Parts-for-sale-Wing-door-triangle-indicators-metering-head-rear-wiper-bits

i'm sure you can test for a headgasket failure in a few ways. One is a pressure test on each cylinder another you can get a kit that samples the fluids from the collant system and changes colour if exhaust gases are present. Some garages use the emissions tester to 'sniff' the coolant. This way is a right shoddy way though as what generally happens is they suck coolant up into the tester and then I have to fix them :( Have you checked your carpets? could be the heater matrix or maybe the water pump is leaking? Maybe on a dry day chuck some cardboard down and leave it running and see where its dripping I could be wrong but if you are loosing all of your coolant that quickly you should see some evidence of a headgasket failure like 'mayo' on the dipstick etc or overheating and it would run like crap.

How old are you, and how long have you had your Corrado/Corrado's?

The past 2 days i have developed a strange Speedo fault, yesterday morning it wasn't working but then i used the car at lunchtime yesterday it was fine. Had a poke about after work and the gearbox sensor seemed loose so i cleaned and tightened that up, on the way home and for a couple of trips last night it was fine. Then it was playing silly buggers again this morning reading zero then going to 20 after a couple of miles and then seemed to snap into life and work (ish) although slowly changing. It seems like a connection fault somewhere so i will check the connections on the gearbox again and also take the clocks out tonight to check the connection on the back. My question is where can you buy a speedo sensor for the gearbox? I couldn't see them on AVS. GSF or ECP. Is this a dealer only part? Thanks, Darren

If you look, the holes in the cloth for the tilt and Recline don't line up so you would have holes where you don't want them. I used material from a passenger seat to redo my drivers, trimmers charged something like £25 to make the new panel out of the material and fit it. Match was obviously spot on.
