  1. Hi team, I'm trying to find a hi-res pic of a corrado side on / side profile so I can grab some measurements from it. It needs to be as flat on the side as possible, so no over roof or bonnet angles please, just looking for a scale outline ideally. Preferably no extra wings, bodykit etc. and if the wheels are non-standard please let me know the size and tyre profile also. Oh and if its lowered. Thanks! :D
  2. wow £500 to renew your brakes is quite a lot
  3. Yeah, Kev said that cos the rear suspension is linked by the beam, it's a bit pointless trying to corner weight it. Figures are very helpful though, cheers :D
  4. Ah great figures, thanks mate! :salute:
  5. I think so :D and then you realise you have a 16v designed 25 years ago and need moe powah. Oh...just me then?
  6. Wow 64/36 and it still handles. That's interesting.
  7. Dropped 3kg from the weight by reducing the wall thickness of the pan from 10mm to 5mm and reducing the barrier thickness to 20mm from 30. Starting to think about oil baffles, and inserts for reducing aeration.
  8. I can find you diagrams and engineering nonsense :D
  9. just playing about in SW, thinking about pick up points and pan design. Would be really good to get some actual dimensions. Edit: Using 6061 T6 Aluminium alloy, weight is coming in at ~6kg.
  10. Isn't that the cryo treatment that Kev mentioned before? Edit: beaten to it by the man himself.
  11. I can't believe how OEM that looks. Amazing. Now if you could whip off your sump and get busy with a vernier caliper that would really help me out  I'm sure you're one of the most qualified! :D
  12. I think I will actually only need a block now, and just a crank in situ with the bearing caps. I wanna see how low the crank spins below the bottom flat face of the block, so I can see what depth of oil plan I can get away with. Otherwise, someone willing to get REAL friendly with a VR block and a vernier caliper would be a plus! :norty:
  13. Yeah I been in talks with IMA engineering and also Dailey too. They seem like pretty simple and well thought out systems.
  14. If anyone wants me today, I'll be looking at a corner model in ADAMS from 10-12 , then lunch, then Automotive engines at 3pm. have a good morning guys :D
  15. I like it :D great comparison Kev, thanks. Jammin I'm not surprised that there's more than one cog that let go. After all, as you said they have probably got weaker over time, and as they're all made of the same material (not actually sure what that is though, some kind of steel?) then if one lets go then it's meshing partner probably will to, or at least take some damage. What's the plan now, new gearbox?
  16. I'd have an old whale tail porsche from the 80s :D actually did an insurance quote the other day. Still felt confused.com though. :confused4:
  17. I think it's gonna be R32 if I can, else a VR. Would be good to find an engine, asap. I'm 1/4 way through final year teching period already!!
  18. Cheers Rob. I'm interested in finding out what a non-engined/drivetrain'd Corrado shell (with running gear) comes in at just my subtracting weight of engine/train and doing the sums. I just wanna play round with where you'd have to mount an R32 etc to get perfect 50/50. If I can get weights and accurate dimensions, I can CAD it all.
  19. Looks like the box of parts that I ordered. IIRC it was £££. £30 springs to mind, but I might be way off...it was a lot more than I was expecting anyways. I might have posted it up in the Plum thread somewhere.
  20. If anyone finds a C that doesn't have: any electrical problems, a dash loom that doesn't have 5miles too much wire, you should keep it cos it is clearly the only one in existence!!!11111oneeinz.
  21. Thanks forthe replies. I was mainly looking for the F/R weight split. The VR6 model is fine cheers mate (16v on Carfolio doesn't aweight dist :/ ) as I can subtract the weight of the drivetrain and see where we stand :D Should be able to calculate moments if I can find out where the centre of mass acts from the engine (i.e. how much in front / behind front "axle line")
