  1. Keep going mate, I'm sure the purists will stop you before your interior looks like this: Not that you don't have any taste of course ;)
  2. that's not what he's asking swiftkid, he's asking whether the ISV has a control unit and the answer is yes, it's behind the dash. Do a search for it mate and you will find the answer.
  3. hang in there mate, you will soon be out of the french tractor and in the plush germanic efficiencies of the Corrado :D
  4. Jonathan, I was just about to mockingly reply and mention a pointless mod like interior switch lights, seem you're a step ahead! tbh, if you hadn't had done it you'll always think it;s the odd one out so for completeness sake I :salute: you.

wtf?! my black triangle ALWAYS falls out. Yesterday my neighbour sneezed. It fell out. :cuckoo:
  6. I'm already in trouble for goading people into using the suppliers forum! Think i'm on probation.
  7. VR6 will give you a fascist beating until you do know :salute: it's fun. honest.
  8. wow, the suspension must be in MASSIVE droop doing it that way. you sure that doesn't cause excessive wear to wishbone bushes or things like track rod knuckle joints where they connect to the rack? There can't be much space to remove the mounts until the suspension has dropped significantly I would have thought? top of the turrets are pretty narrow. sounds ideal though, and I guess that's how garages do it anyways so perhaps it makes sense.
  9. Awesome updates Pete! glad to see it's coming on so quick :D I can see what the coolant problem is: someone's swapped your hoses for red liquorice
  10. surely you can do top mounts inside? just take the whole strut into the warmth :D might be worth adding a note saying that the top brass plates are supposed to sit proud, else some nooblet will come along (as has happened before) seen that picture with the description "dead" and poo themselves.
  11. if the seal is bent or creased, water can still get past it. Most people only think if a seal is ripped or torn then it is broken. also check behind your rear lights. where in the boot did you find the water?
  12. lololol!!! yeah they're ultrasonic sensors or some such for the alarm.
  13. I'm sure someone will let you know the engine mount torques if you need those too. Jon :salute:
  14. can I advise you to post in the Forced Induction 8v Thread? :norty: I wouldn't try to up the pressure through the old rail too much, they can get quite brittle with age as ProdigalSon found out!
  15. Our lambos in British GT3 didn't have 2 valves! sounds a bit gimmicky.
  16. sounds like someone was trying to explain how to flush the coolant through to him, but Joe Bloggs thought he could do it with the oil too.
  17. Just putting up the brake lane renewal pics to keep my thread (and my motivation!) alive. Disconnecting dead lines from brake master cyl. The ream of copper-nickel. Massively more stiff than the copper stuff which pretty much all snapped when we took it off. Dead front to rear lines lying on the floor too. flaring the ends of the lines in the flaring tool in the vice! new front to rears on. They look good! put the rear beam bracket back on temporarily to make sure the lines could screw into the bias valve which they did. Ace. One of the main lines and how it attaches in the engine bay. Need to get a new union: it's supposed to join to the other free ended line next to it, although I will probably replace that one too when I have the time. Me bending one of the shorter rear beam lines. This one goes from the valve to the little hose bracket on the beam bracket itself, fair amount of twisting and manipulating needed! Managed to fit it in the end though.
  18. @davidwort (and other people interested), here are pics I just snapped: Early top spring rubber things(!) seems to fit reasonably well... lower rubber edge in contact with second spring coil from the top. Maybe they are fine after all. Looook innnntoooo myyy coooooiilllll.....
  19. sounds like it's overfuelling at WOT possibly.
  20. aaah yess, it says "spring end here" but in german! Federanstung or something? I'll see if those line up to the springs. If so, I may well still asssemmmmbllleee.
  21. cheers for the help guys. If they're lates then they won't match up to my other strut items. What should I be checking the springs against as the rear top plate isn't really shaped to the springs I think? not like the front ones are anyways. ta, jon.
  22. i would say a corrado but it's already cost me £37,864 and a kidney on the black market. I'd like some old 2 seater vintage car, that'd be cool. OEM+ on the spec though non of that 2hp shíte.
  23. they're a bit complex to expect a dishwasher to get them sparkling. just buy a new one. hmm, where have i heard that before... oh, on the other 372 expansion tank threads on here :hitler:
