  1. No problems come up on vagcom, so after closer inspection one of the leads looked a bit dodgy and wasent on properly, so have replaced leads and done plugs while i was at it. I think one of the plug leads wasent pushed back on properly, when it had rocker cover gasket replaced a month or so ago. Thats when i first started gettin the stutters as it was. but got worse lately/ damm garage Fixed now though. :D
  2. Cheers Timo, Will get it looked at tommorrow sometime. hopefully is a quick and easy sensor :) Did your intermitant hall sender problem come up on vagcom?
  3. Stormseeker , Is it hard to make a 2x2 connector, dont happen to have an easy follow idiots guide too it do u?
  4. The vw symbol and corrado badges are held on with tabs, which will leave holes, Derivative badges are just stuck on and wont leave any holes.
  5. It does seem down on power, spose the best and only thing to do is get it plugged into a vagcom machine and see if any faults come up. Its fine for first ten/fifteen mins of driveing though, then gets worse, feeling like its holding back stuttering mainly when ya floor it. always somethin :(
  6. Hello people, Has anyone got any ideas why my vr stutters (holdin back on the power) sometimes when warm, any places or sensors that may cause this? Its fine when its cold though Could this be a dodgy injector? if so how would i check? or I'm sure i read somewhere on here about the crank sensor loosin its like (cant think of the word) once it gets hot if its old. My car is due to go to stealth in july but would rather sort this out now if anyone has any ideas?
  7. I had to get some longer nuts for my front wheels as they had spacers on and dint feel very safe with the standard shorter nuts. I got mine from a local Car shop (vcf), just had to go in and order some, I rekon most car parts shops, wilco etc would be able to get some to order. cost about 15quid.
  8. My car is a cash cow, Grille, Indicator, Foglamp, Black Vw Badge, Vr6 Badges, £158 chipped £252 Magnex exhaust cat back £387 fitted Maf sensor / hall sender /time in garage £350 side repeators £10 Front engine mount / service things £150 Genesis front componants £120 Alpine headunit and changer £250 Official vw instrument panel and fixings £197 Fk rear lights £158 Beru coil pack £137 momo millienium steerin wheel + boss £195 Rocker cover gasket / fuel filter / service / garage time £190 full black leather interia £600 Silver gear knob £15 silver corrado badge £12 BMC carbon airbox £100 and somethin cant remember now. Stealth Racein on july 17th £4000 allocated for stuff./ £7281 There are other parts like mats, lupo wipers, plates that i havent included in and other free parts. Its irelevent if i have paid too much or anythin on things as its done now, hopefully though i will nearly be there. added to the 3250 i paid for the car makes mine a 10 grand corrado pity it wont be woth no where near that/ :|
  9. Am thinking of investing in vag com. Have a few questions for those who have it. Have had a look round the ross tech website. Am i right in thinking i need the rather expensive $599 kit? I need the 2x2 connector which that comes with and want the full software. Do people use the serial or usb connectors, guess the serial one is just for older machines? Also once installed to one computer is that my lot? can i never change that computer and not install the software onto another machine. Thanks
  10. My car does this, think it always has, i dont worry about it. A lot of Nova/ Corsa drivers would pay for an exhaust that burbles and pops all the time.
  11. My mate's got one on his car, looks nice, very subtle, a non corrado owner probley wouldent even notice it wasent original. His one's stuck on, which is a pity cause u can see the glue stuff from inside the car. Doesent hit the wiper though.
  12. I've taken the wiper motor out too, u got too otherwise u have a big metal thing sticking up. yea it does take a bit of twisting and turning but comes out without havein to take any of the spoiler parts out.
  13. Got myself a wee grommit type thing from Halfords to go in the gap, was a five min job. very worthwhile, :D
  14. Those wheels look the king, you gotta keep them chrome. :D Are they still avalible to buy new? does anyone know/
  15. Heres some pics of mine, quite possibly one of my fave cheap mods, looking out the rear window looks so clear and clutter free now, not to mention the weight saved. I never used it, only sometimes as a snow plough. I kept all the parts as usual incase it needs to go back to original.
  16. Looks like the one for sale, is just one half of the loom. I got one section that has the relays, the plugs to the seats and then goes down to the front of the dash, where a multiplug connects it too a second loom that has one bit going to the control switch and a bit going to the fuse box. This looks like it is just the first half of the loom by the picture.
  17. Might be somethin to do with the immoboliser and key, we had a mk3 gti with a duff key, car started then died instantly.
  18. Henny, Do you have any pictures of this, would love too see it.
  19. That's what i was tryin to say :) Who knows if the Storm will be a good investment, but if any Corrado does it will be that one, or the Campaign.
  20. Its not as if changeing the wheels is not reversible, if anything he's keeping the Storm wheels in better condition by keeping them in the garage and not useing them. It will still be a storm at the end of the day, 1 of 500 minus how many have been written off. Give me a low mileage Storm over any Corrado any day, better spec'ed VR6's havent got that much more, air con, recaro seats, gauge panel, headlight washers, cant think of much more? and finding one with ALL that and low mileage is gonna be just as rare to find. and a high mileage one i think regardless of how well it might have been looked after, is still not as desirable, especially if he wants an investment.
  21. I think you need the program to allow the running of these skins. Or you did on the original GTA on the pc, used to be a right pain settin them up.
  22. yea its for PC version, Like the Vice city lego city link. :D
  23. I would get some lupo wipers as one of my first mods, Huge improvement and they look better too. An eyebrow spoiler is cheap too as said above, could get the Reiger grille/eyebrow combine, two birds with one stone then and all that. Wheels are a matter of personal choice, I would look at other peoples cars and see what ya like. Although fat BBS's always look good. Can get second hand wheels from ebay, local yellow paper, breakers yards, a mate of mine just bought some nice OZ Je design turbo's for next to nothing from a yard. although if wheels are knackerd have too take into account refurbishment costs. 15s to 17s are the norm with 16s being prefered as a good all rounder, I have 17s and wouldent want anythin smaller, but like i said its all personal choice. Rear lights could be tinted red or black, although i would practice before tryin this, as you dont want it lookin cheap and naff, If you found some money you could buy some inpro or fk rear clusters, the fit is'nt great but with a little movein around soon bring the cars looks up to date. Some ten pound clear side repeators get rid of the nasty orange on the wing. Your car looks a very clean and nice example though :D
  24. Quick Update: Have been back and got the full loom out of the car,the chap let me have it for free :D or ya could say it came with the seats but just picked them up on different days Nothing too difficult, understand how it all goes in, am gonna leave it till this weekend too fit it, as it just seems a bit of a time consumeing job, fitting it all in as vw did, but will ultimatly be worth it during the winter. Knowing my luck, drivers side element will be buggered where as the passenger side will work fine./
  25. If i was you, i would leave it, looks like it needs a lot of money and a lot of care and unless you can save cash by sourceing second hand parts and do a lot of the work yourself, by the time and money its done you could have just bought a cleaner non damaged example. Just my opion though, looks cleaninside though and 100k is quite low mileage for a car of that age.
