  1. why not try red film from: Lamin-X.co.uk - Vehicle light tinting and protection films
  2. so you've got a 8v g60, and a 16v (donor) car. please do what i think you're gonna do!
  3. not sure what the problem is, however i can tell you the switch overides the automatic mechanism so should lower the spoiler at any time.
  4. its a tough one bud. I'd say from your perspective you shouldnt accept any less than £4k. whether thats what the market thinks is another matter!
  5. the pictures dont do the engine bay justice. It really looks mint and jumps out at you when the bonnet is lifted. nice work bud :D
  6. widewheels! based in huddersfield http://www.wide-wheels.co.uk/Contact%20Us.html
  7. mat rocker cover and ISV (!) look quality, washer and coolant bottle next, perhaps followed by your left ear and ayrtons nike's? because the car is so low the impact of yellow tints is not so stricking in person as in pictures, where the camera is at the same level as the lights. i'm a fan i have to admit.
  8. (ha, neil is NEVER satisifed!) the charger looks quality! i think you should try and do as many bits mat black as possible. alternator, rocker cover maybe? really want to see this number plate in the flesh though ...
  9. that intercooler looks deep n' mean neil!! i think you should give the number plate a trail on Burnleys mean streets, see if you can fool those pesky cops. (id already had a thought about that press car 8) )
  10. quality thread. yellow looks deep "brilliant" colour and im sure the red bay will be a fantastic contract. itching to get mine in the bodyshop now. have you decided on wheels?

    Paint Codes

yeah, 9x16 Karmonas with 215/35/16's on them. i have to change the suspension, give the wheels a trial, go to widewheels for arch roll, then fit them so not out the woods yet. took me almost 2 months to find someone to fit the tyres.

    Paint Codes

thanks walsey. i agree with you on the colour, as this is the second one ive had in "pearl grey". the rado never turned out to be as good as i thought as the previous owner lied to me about its condition, and that it had been written off- in a very deceiving manner! i have already decided it will be resprayed and have almost collected all the parts needed. my first grey rado: shes very strong, does 64 miles a day to work and back, is more economical than my 2nd Rado( Aqua Blue Pearl Effect--LC5U - 91 - 95 -I think) My latest is still under 100,000 miles, and once the bodywork is done ill spend a little time/money on the engine but i just have to get the paint work/bodywork right before i can start enjoying it properly. here's a taster of its future:
  13. this is a lovely looking motor! Paintwork is fantastic. any thoughts on what wheels would suit? i am currently saving for a respray and want what looks like the same body mods doing. Do you have a ballpark figure for what i could expect to pay to get the same sort of job done?

    Paint Codes

i always thought Gun-Metal Grey was a colour? My car has been crash-damaged and cant find the paint code in the ususal places. Which of these would have been closest to the 'gun-metal' colour that is often used to describe Corrados: Diamond Silver Metallic -----------------L97A ----------------------90 Light Grey Metallic ----------------------LP7Z -----------------------91 Pearl Grey Metallic ----------------------LA7U ---------------------91 - 93
  16. different insurers have different rules, but normally you can add a second vehicle onto your policy for a week/fortnight or even longer for a fee. the only factor which may hold you back is if the car is a higher insurance group than the car on your policy, some insurers may decline to accept this. hope this helps
  17. As above,. I'm getting the bits together for respray and want to paint the de-locked handles you find on rear doors of Passat. BUT.. What year Passat can they be found? Or, has anyone got any? Thanks
  18. silly money like 500? you might find the beige leather is probably worth more! impossible to say given the description unfortunately. if you are looking for a Corrado there is plenty of information on the site which will aid in terms of buying tips. perhaps a vehicle thats been stood for 4 years wont fulfil your corrado expectations! good luck in your search, and if you're after a vr6: comprehensive service history is advised :)
  19. Received the Subs. need to know what type of box would be best (2 Single boxes, or 1 double box), ported or sealed. also, whats the difference? i found the list below, any of them any good? http://www.bassjunkies.com/SFX+Audio/MDF+Bass+Boxes/
  20. very nice motor! can i ask how difficult it is to de-lock the handles, what work is needed and an approximate cost to have them painted? im currently saving for a respray and really like the look of the handles painted given how slick they look on yours compared to standard. thanks
  21. thanks for all the detailed answers. i was told these would be a good buy, and that audiobahn is a good make :? i paid £100 delivered for them brand new from america. i dont want to blow the roof off anything, just want decent quality sound. dont shoot me but these are going to be put on an acoustic covered parcel shelf, so no "box" as such, unless you count the inside of the car as an enclosed box :D i still want my boot space you see. i wont be fitting the amp, i just need to know what model will be sufficent to take to an audio fitters for fitment. looking to pay about £150ish.
  22. I bought two of these speakers and need to know what kind of amp would be sufficient for providing the best sound. i dont know anything about ICE so any input is appreciated this is the spec given from the seller: Brand New AUDIOBAHN AW1006Q 10" Flame Monster Car Audio Subwoofer! - Absolutely Incredible 900Watts RMS Power Handling w/ 120oz. 23. as an underwriter who has recently made a total loss claim i would say one of the important factors regarding your payout which hasnt been mentioned yet, is the sum insured of your vehicle at policy inception. i.e. how much did you tell the insurance company it was worth when you started your policy?
