  6. currently have a bit of incubus in the car at the moment namely the live at red rocks bonus cd, awesome! check out this too.... yes its a trials vid, but a, the guy is awesome and b, the music (band of horses - the funeral) is just as good, if not better... enjoy..
  7. well lighter colours are obviously going to show the sweat marks and dirt more.. as i said good couple of coats of wax and a quick clean once a week will do the job...
  8. looks stunning, deffinately sherry pearl..
  9. ok had my bra for a while so heres what i do.... 1, white 2, i havent no, though one of my friends who had a white mk4 golf did as he left it on for a long time.. dont know if it was rectifiable or not. 3, roughly a week, maybe a little longer. but should aim for a week.. 4,ok, this is where your paint will be saved from the bra sweating, obviously give the car a good clean polish etc.. i put two layers of collinite 915 wax on my car before i fitted the bra. a good layer of wax will protect the paint work and make it easy to clean under the bra when you take it off. 5, i usually just wipe it over with some soapy water and then treat it with some leather conditioner even though im pretty sure its vinyl... 6, so in all, take it off once a week and clean underneath it, just to be on the safe side so that your paint doesnt get affected by it.. when you take it off you will see how much the bra has sweated.. make sure the car has a a good layer of wax on before fitting the bra, id never fit one of these bras to bare paint.. just keep an eye on it and you cant go farr wrong. hth.. :D

    REAR SPOILER

open your boot lid and remove the panel that covers the spoiler mech etc, there will be a knob on the back of the spoiler mechanism pull it out gently, not to farr as you dont want to pull it off then you can wind the spoiler down manually using the knob, voila soiler is down!

  17. the indi literally pops out, all you have to do is push it gently to the right or left (cant remember which) and it should unclip you can then remove the indicator and you will see the screws which need to be undone to allow removal of the fog light and housing... sorry for the vague description, its dead easy you'll see as soon as youve done it. hth..
  18. thats pretty cheap for arch rolling, id get it done but wouldnt want to risk the paint cracking..

  20. well my local one as in portsmouth peter cooper which is the nearest is the same dude, thats why i have to pretty much go up to southampton to the hedge end peter cooper... i feel your pain..
  21. Depends on a lot of things though really mate like time, budget, power etc! A turbo is a lot more of an involved job than just slapping a charger on it, more custom work and a lot more money (if you do it properly, and with this sort of thing you neeeeed to do it properly, remember buy cheap buy twice!). The plus side being you can get more power, but again with more power the more upgrading of other parts you need to do. A charger on the other hand can be put on in a weekend! Still not cheap but much cheaper than turbo, still good power (more than enough power for every day road use at least!) and although will require a strong engine, won't need as much work as going turbo would need. ummm, im thinking of a budget of around 5K, but this includes everything, from the gasket to the chrager/turbo... maybe its a bit much, im sure 300bhp on a rotrex would be fine :confused4: hate being in two minds... think i should scrap the turbo thoughts, think your one comment has knocked me back onto my orginal path, thanks!![/quote:eqh99p6k] if youve got 5k to spend on it then id be speaking to james (CorradoVR6-Turbo), as his cars for sale at around that price iirc. and my word what a machine it is... though i can appreciate it if your wanting to build it yourself, however if your going to pay for a garage to do it then id deffinately say go and have a look at james' car first...
  22. :bad-words: :bad-words: :bad-words: :bad-words: well... my local dealership that isnt exactly local is a complete nightmare for buying parts at... i recentl ordered a new wiper blade for my lupo wipers as one of them is split and felt it would fail the mot as its pretty much knackered, so phoned up told them exactly what i wanted and they got one in for me, went to collect it only to find it was the wrong one!! :mad2: luckily it went through the mot and didnt fail on the blade but it still needs a new one... so ordered a new handbrake handle and the leather trim that surrounds it, as mine has seen better days and the handbrake handle is cracked, so went in told them exactly what i needed and was told it would take 6 days for the leather trim to come in as it would have to be backordered from germany, no problem i said and it was ordered at a price of circa £16 + the £3.60 for the handle.. ive just been to pick up said items and geuss what??! theyve ordered me the handbrake cover that sits on top of/in the centre console :mad2: :mad2: told the guy that isnt the part i ordered and only for him to gormlessly say ' well thats what was ordered' so he showed me the list on the comp and i showed him which part it is that i needed, he then said 'oh, well thats not this part' bloody muppet, i know its not the part you've ordered. so he says 'no problem sir i can order that and it will take 6 days and will be £28 + the vat'... obviously i told him politely that i wasnt going to pay over £30 for a 6'' piece of stichted leather that i could get trimmed for a lot less so told him ill just take the handbrake handle.. im getting really fed up of the incompetent staff that vw employ, all i want to do is replace worn out or old parts and all i get is hassle.. i phoned the branch when i got in and am waiting for the branch manager to phone me back so i can explain the problems and my unhappiness.. worst thing is, as most of you know ive got 3 of these cars, yes ones being broken but thats still two that ill want to buy parts for and upgrade parts etc so ill potentially be spending a lot of money at the dealerships for years to come. and to top it all off, everytime i order a part i explain that im a member of ccgb and on here and ask about discount.. everytime i get a puzzled look from the parts monkies and they say that they will give me 10% off, yet every part ive bought has never included the 10% off... im pretty laid back and a fairly easy going guy which is probably why i never argue the discount when i buy things for the sake of a couple of quid but ive had enough now :bad-words: rant over folks, had to get it off my chest before i give the branch manager a grilling... lovely weather were having... :D
