i havent done it yet.. a good sort of contact adhesive will do the job, havent really thought about it yet tbh..
-
it can be tricky getting the headlining past the b pillars, you'd need to loosen them at least so that you can slide the headlining out, makes it a lot easier.. non-sunroof headlining will come out easier as no sunroof to mess around with..
-
looks good dude, didnt like the wheels at first but theyve kinda grown on me... will have to see this in the metal once youve got it back.. its in safe hands at tickover..

zak is the man to answer this question, he'll know exactly what width adaptors you'll need... if you go into my members gallery thread, theres plenty of pics of my alpine which im running on 8'' d90's allround with 205/45/16 tyres, a v small stretch with these on, the tyres are falken's which have a slight stretch anyway but ive got a complete set of dunlop sp2000 waiting to go on. adaptor wise im running 25ml iirc, am running fairly low too have never measured but id say its roughly an 80ml drop. i dont have any rubbing issues with this setup! the vr has a wider track then the valver's tho.. hth

if i get round to doing my spare headlining ill make a guide for the wiki...
-
no worries buddy, really appreciate you picking those bits up for me, must sort judith, kip and jay out for getting them and bringing them to the national day.. ill deff be looking into the bits i need v soon, once ive got the money ill buy the tappet's and gasket's required, i know they would be fine but im anal about things like that and would rather have a nice quiet engine... your help doin it etc will be mostly appreciated. :notworthy: give me a shout anytime you need a hand with the vr, or cutting up those shells, more then happy to help... and as i mentioned earlier today if there are any bits you need from my blue one just let me know..

good to see you today tom, more then happy to help out anytime... shes coming along nicely now, certainly changed since i last saw it surrounded in straw and full of spare parts. deffinately sold me on the ipod adaptor, got my eyes peeled on the bay for one. cheers for the fuses, and checking over the connections, tryed it on the way home and works fine, fingers crossed the last couple of fuses i tryed were just on thier last legs.. sorry about the vino dude, ill get some beers next time :D

yup, theres no way of getting to the bolts to undo the roof.... headlining has to come out, then you can undo the bolts on the sunroof slide it forwards to get it off its rear hangars and then lift it out through the boot..
-
childsplay, is about 5 10ml bolts if iirc...
-
to get that out you'll have to take the whole sunroof out, as its part of the sunroof...
-
take out the rear shelf supports, a,b and c pillars and the sunroof switch surround etc, inner seal, then just slide it out through the boot.. :D
-
real shame buddy, looked a beauty... i hope it all gets sorted and you get a decent price for it from your insurance, not to mention the whiplash etc... hope all is well soon dude..

looks a cracking job, neve knew you had a grey vr, and oh my word does it look immaculate shame you got rid.. still need that relay? -
looks good, was that using the guide on the wiki?
-
well my drivers side mirror works but doesnt, basically its int but not fully, i think the mounting for it may be slightly broken... its never been a problem and has only just happened that the fuses are blowing...
-
on the wing mirror glass? my glass is near perfect... what bit do you think could be corroded?
-
no clues anyone?
-
ok guys, i replaced the fuse this week, switched it on once it worked for a bit and then the fuse blew... i replaced the fuse again today and tryed a differnt switch and it blew instantly.. please note ive used fuse's from my spare fuse box so were not brand new.. im stumped as to why it keeps blowing the fuse so was hoping someone would be able to point me in the right direction... any help will be greatly appreciated.

fair point mate :) still if money is tight and he is looking at spending 100 on tax 100 on mot 200 on steering rack 100 on gear box related issues its a minimum 500 quid which to me to spend on a tired valver seems a lot just my thoughts though  what parts are you after james? lol
-
really depends on what condition the rest of the car is in, sh mileage etc, any mods.. early valvers arent fetching a lot of money these days what with being able to get a vr for circa 2k...
-
ok.. one, deffinately do not scrap it! two, i think you should deffo try and save it, im sure you could pick up a second hand rack for less then that, as long as you've got the mechanical knowhow to change it over yourself it shouldnt be too much of a problem.. three, again am sure you could pickup a gearbox pretty easily.. four, so many corrado's are being broken at the moment it would be a shame to break it up, so if you cant fix it then maybe try selling it with the known problems.. is it the car in your sig?
-
have you colour coded the grill? if not what colour has it been painted? not too sure about the all red's are they the original lights been sprayed or are they crystal ones? top work as always...
-
looks superb, i hope to get my engine bay that clean one day...
