C&R nottingham advertise in Performance VW Tel:01559785740
-
looks mint, not seen those seatbelts b4
-
Just a quick note when buying braided hoses from C&R before buying them if you have a later modle with the recess in the middle hoses for the clips make them aware, they sent me some out and they didnt have the recess or any means of securing them to the axle. I phoned up and asked how they fixed them as i thought they would all be the same as it happend some one else had just had the same problem, they said its the first time they have supplied the ones i and the other person required, so they are trying to rectify the problem and get some delivered straight from godridge (they have been very helpfull). Just thought id make people aware so they dont order the wronge ones.
-
Yeah looks like thats the route im going to go down, just to decide what to do with the ehaust then.
-
So is bmc the way to go then do we all think?
-
I just want to no what exactly u get for the high price really, there's other encased filters and do they really make that much difference. i no it cuts out hot air but how much is that really worth?
-
Just looking at filters for the VR, Just wondering if anyones tried one off these, are they really worth £230. They look good but is it just a gimmick?
-
This is quality could u imagin the looks youl'd get driving round town in this, people that didn't no what it is would think your a OTT Boy Racer  http://pistonheads.co.uk/sales/228400.htm
-
Why would u do that
-
has anyone tried one of these, i've struggled to find a strut brace for the corrado feed back would be good before i waste any money, cheers http://www.dubmeister.co.uk/wiechers.php
-
stick with the corrado, look after it it will run for ever aslong as you dont prang it, Dated..i disagree.

think we've all felt like throwing towel in at some point. Mine went up on axle stands about 3 month ago for a quick look at a few bushes and its nevercome down since, keep getting more and more involved, got the MOT certificate out to see when it was due and it had just expired, cars done 394 miles in a year.... But its a toy, and when u get behind the wheel is a nice toy to have, family and friends all critisize me for ploughing more in to it but they just dont understand thats why they all drive round in modern hatchbacks that all look like they have droperd off the end of the same production line. theres no origanality in cars these days the corrado's are getting old and are going to have little problems that frustrate u but without spending alot of money i cant think of any other car i'd rather have for looks performance or origanality. Thats how i justify it to myself if i've got 5k or even 10k when i get it to how i want it, what car could i get for that money that i'd enjoy as much...NONE

Can anyone help firstly picked up a stainles VW VR6 exhaust off here last week, 1:how hard is it to drop the back axle, is it better to get a flange put on think i can get a friend to do it. 2: little bit worried about the braket braking off as it suprised me with the weight of it, anyone any ideas on strengthening? 3:i've been looking at raceland sixbranch manifolds and de-cat pipe on ebay, anyone got one fitted there cheaper than anything else i've seen but i want to do job right so not really bothered about cost. i've look all the way through this thread and there no ones referd to them, sorry if ive missed anything but my eyes went funny by the end of it cheers fellas :?

bet he was touching cloth when that happend  , i've managed to fold a front wheel under a car before(it was a piece of crap) i wasn't worried but my mate in the passanger seat didn't get in a car with me for a while later. think it was gods way of punishing me for leaving VW, if it hadn't have happened i may never have got a C probably have a healthyer bank ballance tho.... You live and lern lol :)
-
sounds like a plan mate, need to get my new(second hand wheels polished) go some tt comps, havent sorted anything out but if u fancy a messing about with my old wheels which are tt/ s3 alloys (not sure which is correct name but you'll no what i mean) you can play with them and see what happens, wont lose no sleep if the end up buggerd
-
same colour as what i had, just standard wheels tho, quality car!
-
i had a mkII scirroco scala in grey/silver, sitting in it was the same as the c low to the floor but you felt like u'd been to the gym when u got out, hard work to drive, heavy clutch, no pas and the most unreliable brakes i've experianced, u had to see if someone was stopping 3 cars infront if you didnt want a insurance clame. Got it given by a mate he had a escort gti, he blew the gear box on the escort and seen as i had a works van and he gave me the roccoi gave it back i've not seen it since, he used and abused it, by then i decided i didn't need a car (or was it the girl i was seeing who thought it was ugly?) And it was passed on again. To my knowlage i think the same guy still ownes it but its been sat on his drive ever since i really miss it it was good fun but the C is far superior.....but i really would love to get my hands on a mk I scirroco as a prodject.... dont think i could aford one tho C's a big enough waste of money lol ... oh and i owned a mkIII polo 16 valve when i was 19 which would be the sensible answer!
-
best option just to leave be then?
-
Anybody upgraded gearboxs to 6 Speed tt boxs ect.... What works, whats easy, and whats worth doing? Does using a short shift make the gear box feel any different. No plans just yet just a bit of forward planning, Cheers fellas :) ,(95 VR6 by the way!)

if your on about the ball joint at the end of the wishbone think the angles different and the hole centres aswell , they told me they were the same at the local parts shop but when i got them home they were different, hope this helps.
