Right i have a blackbury C thats off in for painting very shortley. Body work at the moment is standard i dont want to stray too far away from that. The one thing that is defo going is the side strips, apart from that i havent thought of doing much else Just wondered if anyones got any pics with colour coded door handles, number plate surround, trim at the end of the mirrors ect. At the mo im unsure dont want it to look too purple any ideas?

i'd have thought 50 quid a wheel to strip them and re coat them if theres no bad curbing, but get vw centers they look better than the audi ones

How old are you if you dont mind me asking and how many years bonus do you have? My HIC renewal is coming in at £742 and thats me being 28 and 3 years bonus. Im 28 with 3 years no claims 6 points and ive had 3 quotes all under £500 fully compon a VR6, ill try and dig out the details cos the cars off the road at the mo and i didn't take the quotes, one of them was through moneysupermarket try them there not bad

Had the 225 alloys on mine (middle left) but now ive got the comps (bottom right) but not that finish yet.. The scirocco i had was given to me buy my friend he had got it off his brother and never run it due to lack of money, mainly insurance that he couldnt afford. He inherited some cash,gave me the rocco decided to get a Escort GTI After about a year the gearbox in the escort went bang and i had a company van so when he asked if he could borrow it i couldnt really say no he ran it in to the ground then that was the end of that. It was a silver f plate scala 1.8i only 8 valve and a bugger to drive but it was just different. I completely agree that it wasn't a patch on the corrado but fun in its own right.

its one of those birds you see in the night club when your dribbling in to the pint of flat larger you've had for two hours. you check your wallet that lets you down , you cant see your friends there over 10yards away and for a split second the hyundia in the corner smiling at you, wearing its boob tube and hotpants looks like a good lift home. The next day when u wake up you hope no one has seen u with it and your trying to blank out that u had a go in it and u certainly arnt telling your friends u went home with it!

i change the bushes on mine, not cos it failed mot but for wheel alignment purposes they didn't look too bad but you could feel the difference after i changed them by lifting the wheel before and after, got them from euro car dont think they were that expensive just over a cock and hen each from memory

Yeah there what im on about they were just clipped in look at the back of the center cap if you struggle just sand them flat

What wheels you got i had the tt 225 wheels (like the A3 wheels) the audi badge just popped out of the center cap and the vw one was like a self adhesive plastic sticker that just went on .

Should be able to get them from alloy dealers that sell the replica wheels they just stick on.

Another dull one door rubber seals for 95 discontinued some of the otheres arn't and the clip that breaks on the bonnet release cable, you cant buy it anymore but u can buy 30 quids worth of cable with the obsolete clip on even though theres nothing wrong with the one you have. W4c&ers how can u make a car then discontinue everything.

knock him down in price hes had it a while try and get at least 500 of no one else is knocking and he hasn't put 2 k in to it see what hell take start really low hes had it 3 1/2 months and no takes at 7k so try 6 it cost u nothin to try.

cant u poke something down see how long the thread is? i'd put some locktight on the bolt as well i've had it come loose on me before

Ive just changed most of the suspension and put new wishbones on cos of worn bushes, only really changed struts at back and im doing all the brakes. is there anything else i should be looking at, do i change the sub frame what would one cost. how far do u go ? advice please
