10 yrs on and I still don't want any other car
sprinterVR6 replied to storm_warning's topic in General Car Chat
:? Is that an option only available on late VR6s?? Do they have flaming swords? Wouldn't fancy them myself. It would probably be like having the missus onboard all the time moaning about speed round bends and roundabouts, and my cursing of the incompetents etc etc etc  Ah yes, it wood appear my Dyslexia has come back to hunt me. Meant to say angles. Simple mistake to make. Apparently Robbie Williams put out a cover of his most famous hit just for suffers of OCD. It's called 'I'm loving angles instead'. -
10 yrs on and I still don't want any other car

i hear yah, looking round at all the other 'cars' each day, I find it very difficult to pick one I'd feel anything near as much as I do for my VR. That said, Audi S2 does float my boat. Not got the same agressive angels, but very much has the 'wolf in sheeps clothing' thing going for it. Which to me is key. As they say, strong words, softly spoken. Wooh, v. deep for a friday me'thinks :D -
Welcome to the forum mate. For a start, it's a great headache to have eh?! Their both classics. Put it this way, I still, everyday, wonder to myself, why doesn't everyone have one of these! To get that kind of power, classic image and reliability at their current price is quite something. As my man Starsky would say........''Do it''.

nice pic of your c in that car park. I'm goona be uploading a few shots of mine on to forum soon and reckon I'll pick my (empty) local supermarker carpark as the 'shoot location'. Always looks doublely good parked up. But then again if the nearest car is a Nissian!!

was just leafing through this website http://www.ciao.co.uk/VW_Corrado_Club_o ... ew_5704818 and came across this rather bizarre review. And I quote ''2.8 VR6 = 6.1 secs and you ready for this? 3.2 VR6 Storm = between 3.8 to 4.2 secs'' and ''top speed figures - 2.8 VR6 170 to 175 and 3.2 VR6 Storm 180 to 185''!!! Hummm, maybe I'm using the wrong pedal!

oops! just re-read ur last post Cheese. I've used the word Personally again. We must sound like some banal footballer doing a post match interview....''well obviously the gaffer''

Personnally, what I love about having a C, or indeed any nice car or a fav band, is the interaction between you and the fellow fan. Be it on the forum, passing one on your way to work etc I think the 'Spotted' post says it all really. How many of those spots were by one person seeing another one in whatever size/shape/higher/lower ride and just been chuffed their getting the same enjoyment out've it, via a wave, a smile, thumbs up, perhaps even a moon if your not driving yourself. Although I suppose you could do a moon, if you where (starts getting up on office chair to mimic) going slightly down hill and in neutral........... Enjoy, have a gud'um 8)

sprinterVR6 replied to sprinterVR6's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
Will give a go this evening! cheers. Typical VW only with these zanny cars would that work. Fingers crossed! -
just joined, but have had my dream machine since Jan '07 to needless to say it's been a none stop Chuff'a'thon ever since  first one: was pulling into local Tesco, 3 young lads sitting on bench outside shop, they all clock the freshly washed/polished/wheele trimmed/cock-pit shined.....u get the picture. The first two are pulling 'an i bovva'd faces. The last lad just shakes his head and proclaims loudly..''that's is a beast'' :D Me think someone's done their proper homework! 2nd: was in 'over taking lane' cruising along coming up behind a respectable if somewhat sorry looking MK2 Golf. Couple in the car, bloke driving, suddenly starts throwing his arms around and shifting excitely in his seat. i thought a 'mobile domestic' was about to kick-off! I actually backed off, worried he was a mentalist and would at any moment stop the car and get out 'Falling Down' stylee. He eventully pulled into slow lane and I did my best Cole Trickle and dropped the hammer to get past and away from THIS MADDNESS!!! Wasn't till we came side to side at next round'about I glanced over, he had his window down full and a face like a kid in a canny store! Cue his MASSIVE thumbs-up and shaking head in probable disbelief (it being Ireland!) I could only manage a cheshire cat type grin and a mini thumbs up of my own. was so chuffed I could've stalled....but thankfully didn't. That wouldv'e been a comedy come down :D

Like a prize pillock i left my 'raddo parked up with head lights on for 3/4 days. Came back to her (still there, phew!) and battery was flat as the preverbil cap. Chuftie side-note: It was pissing down and some kind gentlemen in new 5 series M-pack BMW see's my distress and offers help, I tell'm my g'friend is on her way with jump leads and i should be ok. Says him with 2 kids in back + stoney faced wife in passenger seat ''mate, I love these cars, it'd be my pleasure''. Long story short, he could'nt find his own battery points big fancy all plastic engine bay! Nice car though. Gave up and nearly broke his neck looking back at the c. Back to orginal point. I got her started and reckoned the central locking / alarm / key fob bleeps would all come back in couple days. Not so. That was good few weeks back. She locks with the key, but that's it. It's a Toad system. Can anyone shed some light on this? I've sod all paper work on the alarm system either :(

Rear ''Corrado'' badge (not ''VR6'') anyone.....?
sprinterVR6 replied to sprinterVR6's topic in Exterior
cheers guys, any chance you could post pic of the ARZ badge for my viewing pleasure :D think I might have a deep seated badges 'issue'. I wouldn't leave the Club Scouts till I'd got every single Proficiency badge. I finally got them all, but not before the Scout Leader had taken me to one side and told me I was scaring the othe kids and being 28 I should know better. -
i reckon this rear badge thing has been covered a zillion times on here...But being a newbie!....does anyone know who / where can get a new rear chrome badge?? I've just put a brand new ''VR6'' chrome badge on rear, and it looks tops, any lines of enquiry very gratefully received. Side Note: VR6 sold in Roscommon Ireland for €12,500 i think (£8,700).  WOW!! Anyone news on it anyone over here??. New / Old Owner out there somewhere......! Hello....McFly! 8) 8)

just joined now. But was wondering if anyone in Ireland has come in contact with a Mr John O'Connor, owner of a tidy red VR6. He lent me his 'Bible', the offical 'Corrado Maintaince Manual' a godd while back. I've lost contact with him, but reckon he'd like to get his (very) grubby mitts on it once again.
