unfortunatly these people only deal in one currency. Actions. In their filty low life community, I'm sure if they step out've line they get a smack in the chops. What they get from doing this is 'the buzz' of being a fu cking prick and knowing they'll never get caught. Which makes catching them in the act all the sweeter, 'cept you never do :mad2:

Mate, hope you get her back to as before. Then give her a good clean and go for a drive and let the car do what it does, put a big smile on your mush. That way they don't win. If you know what I mean :?

got my 94' VR & now S3 both off Autotrader UK, no problems. Brother got deal of the century on '02 Golf GTTDi on EbayUK. As above, it boils down to knowing wat to look for, possible dodgy areas etc Sometimes 'Exchange & Mart' have very good examples. There's two tasty 2.0ltr ones on there now.

i very much agree. Sitting in traffic to/from work faced with bland car in front, back and sideways  Then a Porsch or other such motor rolls up along side :luvlove: Almost instant mood lifter. Sometimes turn of the music so can hear the beautiful rumble. Sitting behind a 996 C4S once, the driver just dapping the pedel and moving effortlessly away whenever the traffic cleared. I'm sitting there grinning like a fool :notworthy: Happy in the knowledge that one day, maybe.........

Aye, 2nd in a VR is a beautiful thing. Not to keep bad monthing (easy there 3corsa!) I'd never of redlined my old VR, and never intentionaly. unlike my S3, opened her up last week in 2nd, wondering what this 'rev bouncing' sensation was, looked down at the rev clock - thing was jumping around the redline!! Lesson learned times two. First, don't do it again. And secound, change my car :(
-
you prob didn't even need to rush through the gears anyway. Get 1st done, easy into 2nd sit back and watch the 'S' get smaller in the rearview  That said, if I had a gearbox for everytime I've missed 2nd......... :brickwall:

Interesting way of hunting down scum...

More Power to the guy. I'd imagine you'd feel equally determined if you'd seen the guy brazzenly take your car. I'm guessing legally it's ok to post the guys face in public, what with the fact he's not likely to walk into a cop shop and demand it's removal. -
I've an Audi S3 (1999) and I'm experiencing the same droning noise from the rear. Car was stood up for quite a few months. It's audible from about 16 or 18mph, then increasingly loud up to motorway speed. The noise seems to oscilate (not sure if that means anything different to 'iceviolets' issue). It being a 4 wheel drive, and if it's not simple tyre issue, could this spell real trouble?? :(

Hell yeah, buy my Aprilla (0-60 3sec) and you'll still have enough cash left for VR as well!!!! LOL, good call! Yeah, watching fast Bikes off the lights is nuts. Their just gone in 2secs :notworthy: To pop a cap in this thread - I'm thinking it'll be a re-mapped S3 with ideas on the set-up/stance as per above replies. Mucho thanks lads :salute:

the red parts are where VW mounted a gun of some kind. Those Germans, man their crazy welcome to the forum  Kidding aside, nice price, good colour and the milage isn't anything to be too worried about.
-
cheers guys, obviously it's a big financial outlay for me to get an S3. So wanna make sure I get plenty of bang for my buck. Sounds like a re-map is the way to go. As some of you mentioned, the re-mapped cars for sale may well be in perfectly good order, as most S3 drivers would be of 'relatively' ! sound mind. Basically looking for the sort of pace you'd get from a scooby or evo, but as never really been a fan of either (huge respect though) I'm hopeing Germany might have something for me  Can I break the 6sec barrier with Budget of £7,500??!!
-
that is one sweet looking S3. Thankfully your picture does prove you can get an S3 to look mean, moody & fast. Correct me here, you've lowered it possibly with new front spoiler thingy?? and have the rear arches been 'increased'??? Interested to know, 'cus that's the look I'd be going for. Back on the bhp thread, I guess I'm looking for someone to say, with most of use having driven 'quick' cars, will the S3 225bhp version gonna give me the same WOAH!! feeling as my old VR??? thanks for all previous reply :salute:
-
"Its well rapid man innit!" Quality. Yeah, good point. Who's to know. Would be giving it the old AA or RAC check anyway, that should pick up any nasty business i hope. I drove my VR in the 'enjoyment zone' quite a bit, but knew when to back off, and when sold it I half expected the RAC guy to ruin the deal, instead he sealed it! said it was the best engine he'd come across in quite a while!! :notworthy: Maybe I'll hire a private eye to follow the car round for a few weeks before I buy, see if he, or she, is a rev happy nut case
-
just toying with the idea an S3. Checking pisheads/autotrader lots seem to be re-mapped to 250 or 260bhp. Whats the deal. Anyone here tried both?? Is there any massive increase in power. And do the 0-60 times come down by much?? As a buyer, i'm thinking of staying away from re-maps, logic says they've most likely been driving like a getaway car I'm sure there's pros & cons to this??

Help me get closer to my nx C! Golf Mk4 Rear washer Fix
sprinterVR6 replied to sprinterVR6's topic in General Car Chat
Actualy based over in sunny Dublin, Ireland so we don't have MOT, its NCT, same gig though. Hence the cleverly disguised question. But it turns out afer speaking to a mate the NCT doesn't look at it either. A big thanks for all replies fella's. Appreciate it. Now, back to 'Cars for sale' section........ :D -
Help me get closer to my nx C! Golf Mk4 Rear washer Fix
sprinterVR6 replied to sprinterVR6's topic in General Car Chat
cheers. Might source a new rear wiper arm from local scrappers. Was looking round some vag sites and the rear washer pipe is a bit tricky to locate. Was thinking of shooving some potato in the little hole, stop it squirting out, but fear I'll just end up creating a crude Spud Gun :norty: -
Just a quick one. Anyone know the quickiest / easiest way to get to the rear washer pipe on a Mk4 Golf??? Having MOT done tomorrow, in prep to sell and purchase my 2nd C, and the rear wiper spray direction thingy is cracked off. So when activated, water direction is straight at the driver behind and quite powerful too!! Great as a James Bond gadget, but not if trying to pass MOT!! Thinking of locating the little hose and clipping it temporarily.

was looking up Reviews of the great VR6, came across this gem Good Points Out-accelerates supposedly superior cars every time...although I did find the MacLaren Mercedes has better pick up the other day... No sh*t mate! I'm picturing this guy in a straight drag race along side above mentioned car and thinking 'i fancy this'!!

Door handle repair kit..........THEY ARE NOW AVAILABLE
sprinterVR6 replied to daves16v's topic in Suppliers Forum
Mine gone too, Drivers side. It being Christmas I don't expect a quick fix, but Dave, if your out there. HOOK ME UP MAN!!! Cheers -
Was locking the drivers door last with key (central locking not up and running yet) and heard bits of the mechanism fall down in behind the door card. Unfortunatly, the latch went into 'locked' position when the door was open and I can't push it back up so needless to say the door just hits the catch pin and and won't shut. Rang my new best friend in local garage, said i need new Corrado door kit which will need to be ordered :( He mentioned, and in my wisdom I didn't even try this, that if I open the handle on the door the latch should move up allowing the door to close and then just lock the car up from passenger side. Will this work? Anyone know where best/quickest I can order this door kit??? Cheers

crikey! my heater matrix went a few weeks back too, was told I was very lucky to escape a similier fate to yourself  geez these cars do like to bite us!! But like you said, you can't stay away. I was getting really fed up 'cus even after the fix the front+back windows were forever steaming up (also weather a factor) but now she's grand and I'm back to hugging her last thing at night  waiting for the g/f to mutter the classic line, ''either the car goes, or I do''!!!
-
yeah, second set 8)
-
crikey! (picks jaw off the floor) how come I've not seen this car in mags/tv?!! It's simply stunning. Can't wait to see one on the road. good choice mate :D
-
phew! I thought I was the only melon who bought a mini 'raddo! I got mine in a little trinket shop in London last August. Felt a bit silly asking the very 'jolly' proportioned fellow behind the counter had he any VW CORRADO'S.....''yeah mate down the back on the right, should be one left'' :D Result, and there it was, the Revell version VR6 in burgandy. It was only while browsing Andy's site this week, I saw you could open the Bonnet :? I'm a bit thick like that! Got home, flipped the lip....little engine tucked away all shiney & new  (wish my bay looked like that!) The g/f reckons I'm turning into Howard Hughes 'cus I get upset at all the dust on my little car. Kinda reminds me of that Simpsons episode where Mr Burns asks Smithers to get in his little toy plane the 'Sproose Moose' yep, in work and pretty bored!

made me spit all over my shirt    top class
