just thought I'd see if anyone else is amazed at how cheap good/low milage Audi copue's are going for these days. Very similier car to a C (don't shoot me!) but just so so cheap - whats the deal with this? I mean build quality/prestige/decent'ish performance and not bad looking, yet selling at less then 2k for 1995 in great condition w/FSH   http://www.pistonheads.com/SALES/1325275.htm

Obviously, that last comment is not directed at you Shane
-
that, is a very good point. I reckon there's deffo alot of that going on. With that in mind, all those nice vr's priced at the 4k ( :cuckoo: ) might be getting a call  I'm gonna bash-haggle them into submission
-
being on the hunt for a VR now for nearly three months and I hear exactly what your saying, it's really all over the place. those clowns in TCS had a mint blue storm in at 3k with starter issues , then fixed it and now looking for pretty much 4grand! I just missed a mint green w/perfect leather on '96 plate 124k going for 3,200, then you check p'heads etc and see almost identical car, maybe diff wheels seller looking for mid 4's  I reckon some sellers price it with view to getting the car moved on relatively quickly, and put it in at a tempting price. Others just looking for some gimp to turn up and fork out 5k 'cus it's all shiney and 'shock horror, it's got FVWSH :cuckoo:

cheers David - that mk3 strenghtened matrix does ring a bell - again I could be wrong.
-
perhaps someone can assist me - I had a heater Matrix go on me in my last VR. The model was 1994 and the milage when it happened was 115,000miles. After speaking to a seller of a 1996 (obviously very late 1995 model) VR with 126,000 on the clock, he said he's had no issue with Matrix  He has owned it during the time it would normally 'go' at. Is he just lucky it hasn't gone yet / was the matrix issue sorted for 1995 models?

yikes - that 'corrado dump scene' looks like something out've a futuristic movie! I've a horrible feeling the VR I'm going to buy will end up like this sometime in the future......2010
-
i reckon the 'knock on the door' is worth popping into the chufies file - that sounds like a big fan of the model  always nice though - I always thought, when in Service stations, that even though everyone didn't say 'your cars awesome mate' - they all bloody thought it  Then again, I'd be slightly biased!
-
cheers too hot - might just see how my ebay bidding goes over weekend - I'm in for one of those Storms, but again, the reserve price the seller has set is out've my ball-park - so reckon that's dead in the water. But might call the violet one nx wk :salute:
-
well i see your 250miles and raise you a hundred  I'm in Ireland  I'd get an inspection done if, over the phone, it sounded worth it.
-
cheers guys - i guess the good thing about the mileage is the cooling/matrix parts have most likely been replaced. And money saved from not paying over 3k can go to suspension upgrades etc :luvlove:
-
just wondering if anyone's any inside knowledge of this VR - I'm having no luck getting through to Clair. Seems like a nice one, dispite the 'Milenium Falcon' mileage  (sorry Lisa - robbed that off you  ) http://www.pistonheads.com/SALES/1136954.htm

excellent post above mate - says it all really - and when put like that, it should put minds at rest or at least on 'stand-by' for the many 'treats' corrado ownership can throw out. :notworthy:

Desired spec for new VR - Asking too much??

[quote name="too hot No.I think if he has set a reserve and it does not make the reserve, its too bad. He can offer it to you at the lower price you bid,but you don`t have to buy it :)[/quote] Thanks toohot - sounds promising i guess - I'm the highest bidder so far  (in reality= :brickwall: ) -

One of the items mentions 'reserve not met'. Can the seller, after not getting his reserve met, accept the highest bid anyway?? -

cheers guys - I guess I should of pointed out my budget first! budget is round the 3k mark - might go 3,200 if one of the Storm sellers gets a reality check :? Side Note: Think I might just of landed myself in some trouble - I've made bids on ebay for two VR's - am I'm legally screwed if I end up winning both?! :brickwall: -
Along with a couple of others on here, you know who you are! I'm in the market for a VR - but just thought I'd gauge if I'm been overly picky with my preferred spec. Ideally- 1994/1995 / Blue / less then 120k / black leather / FSH Am I asking too much
-
don't think so - I'm really pushing for leather - but if a vr comes along and ticks 4 of my '5 must haves' boxes then I'd settle for cloth - as long as in pretty good nick of course Was a bit cheeky and emailed 3 very pricey/but mint vr's on P'Heads (all over 4500£!) and enquired would they except low 3's - they all told me to :censored: off We'll see - they'll be begging me like 3dollar hoes nx week
-
Oh :( I'm also after a VR, but with only 3100£ to spend - please someone say I can get something half decent for that  So, 'too hot' and 'deanjames' I guess we're all on the hunt
-
just a quick one - there's a green VR on P'Heads for sale at very nice price, 1994 / cream leather. Seller is Ben from Surrey. Wondering if anyone has been in contact/had any feedback? I'm very interested and have left various vm's etc. Price has been reduced and it's only been up one day so seller should be quite keen on selling  Ben - if your reading this, give me a bell mate. Cheers Iain

damn you toohot! which car is this - it's driving me mad!! re the car mate - all that work done - if there's proof and the test-drive goes well i'd be all over it
-
and here's me thinking you UK lads were all low milage nuts  suppose if correctly maintained and cared for, that kind've milage (155k) though high, is stll good for another maybe 20/30k?
-
dude, it's got like 155k on the clock...Ouch! Lovely car though. I'm going to investigate this one a little bit first. Aside from the starting issue ( :pale: ) she looks mint
