That is amazingly low! It has got to be one of the lowest Corrados ever! Looks great :)

I have been down the bodyshop again as they wanted me to ok what had been done so far and I love it!! The arches are really starting to take form now. They are were still in rough stages and needed smoothing up when I took these pics. You can't really tell from the pics but the upper part of the rear wing has also been pulled out a little so the whole car gets slightly widder the further back it goes. There is still alot of sanding and smoothing to do else where on it, but, It is apparently going in to be sprayed on Monday and I should be picking it up on Tuesday. :D - Needs a blinking good clean as well!
-
Thankyou! Thought I must have missed it somewhere!!
-
Sorry if you have already covered this and I have missed it, but, how did you widen the rear bumper to suit the arch? Really does look great and I love the spoiler!
-
Just been to the bodyshop again, the arches have started to be built up. Sorry for the blurry pics but I was a little excited! As it is all original Corrado parts being used it should look quite natural if that is the right word! It will definately not be ready for the weekend as originally said!

It came from crosshands in wales last January. It had Avez A's on at the time. Facelifts in Burton on trent are doing it. They specialise in Corrados, well used to!Chris, the owner sourced and drove all the way to London a few years back to collect my old VR6. I think they are more of a general bodyshop now. I have been going there for about 8 years so I trust them :) Plus, they are really fair on price.

Beautifull! Subtle. The paint and colour looks soooo deep and lush. :D -
Thanks, I sure hope so! It took the bodyshop alot of persuading as I didn't want it to look like a kit had been stuck on. Guess we will see soon enough. It should be out by next weekend.

Right, I have just got back from the bodyshop. There is going to be alot more arch work than I thought. The rear bumper and whole door to rear wheel arch is being bought out and arches welded on to ensure the wheels will be legal. They have also smoothed the rear wiper hole ober, sanded down the rear bumper and filled some dinks in the door. They are going to send me some pics in the next few days of the arch being built up. Really need a money making scheme!!!
-
Really?! I rung volksbits and they told me it wouldn't! Have you got it on a 16v/g60 or vr6?
-
That is great thankyou. Once it comes out of the body shop I will give it a clean!

My horn had been working intermitently for a little while, then one day it just stopped working. Since then I have changed the steering wheel, it still doesn't work. I have checked the fuses and discovered there is an air horn fitted. I have no idea what to look at now as I know nothing about horns!! Plus, my MOT is due soon! Can anyone shed any light on where to look next??!

You say you had 45 mm adapters on the rear and 30mm on the front. Did you have any arch ork done to then fit the wheels under?
-
:D :D No! 2009! 2010 would be a long time to wait!
-
WOW!! Absolutely amazing!! I am sooo envious! I love the detail on your rear spoiler!! Absolutely love it! Your arches are perfect! I bet you are over the moon with it!
-
She looks absolutely amazing! Such subtle changes really make a difference. Wish I had bought a nugget yellow one now! That car phone is crazy cool!! :D

Due to the wheels sticking out so far and this being illegal, I have been on the search fr Corrado wheel extensions, which I cannot find anywhere! So, I have just purchased some rear wheel arches and these are going to be welded onto mine to extend the arch out over the wheel. Just hope it works! The Corrado is now going in the bodyshop on the 27th oif January. I will post pics of the progress when I get them. :D
-
I think I am just going to get hold of some rear arches from a car that is being broke and have them re welded on the originals! My Corrado going into the bodyshop has now been postponed until the 28th April. So, I have some time to sort it!
-
But the actual arch themselves, just the curve. Will it be the same wide, round shape etc?
-
Is the front arch the same shape as the rear arch? if I was to get a front arch and have the actual arch cut off and welded on would it be the same width etc?
-
I have thought about that as well but I imagine panels are really expensive- even second hand.
-
They are exactly what I am after. I have found them for all the Golfs and even the Passat!! But no Corrado.
-
My wheels stick out about 1 and half inches each side. I have contacted 'archenermy' to see if they can help but i doubt it. My bodyshop has spoke of arch extensions but I cannot see them anywhere. Plus, one of my arches currently has some rust on, so, I don't think it can be fared. What has everyone else done?!
-
I have read posts on people wanting arch extensions but no one has said where to buy the actual arch extensions from in the first place? Can anyone help?
