For some reason, I can see it if I click on that link, but it doesn't appear in the Corrados for sale section when I look. :)

I submitted an advert yesterday at 18.00, but it is still to appear. Being new to Panjo, is this normal? :)

Some advice about selling my 1995 Blackberry VR6

Well, I've finally got around to selling her. Submitted the advert on here earlier so I expect it to appear any time now. :) Thanks for the feedback guys, going to start it at just under £8k and see how I get on. :) -
I offered to go and look around the car for him, and give him some pointers for his advert and the content of it, but he's declined saying he's already getting loads of interest as it is.

Still has 5 days left though. If someone were to pick that up for under £8k, that would be a bargain. As said previously, the price of late, low miles cars in that condition are only going to go up now. The car is in York, which is also where I'm based if anyone whos seriously interested would like me to go and give it a quick look over for them? :)

As I said in the other thread, the MK4 Supra would be hard to beat. You could buy an immaculate, late model 6 speed manual twin turbo car for £15k. Or for £25k, you could buy one with a decent turbo conversion, running anywhere between 500hp and 1500hp... Otherwise, the Audi S2 and RS2 are great cars. Beautiful 5 cylinder turbo engine, and also very tunable. The Mazda FD3S RX7 is definitely a rival to the Porsche in the looks and handling department, though they are known to be temperamental. £25k would buy you a low miles, highly desirable final 'Spirit R type A' model. Or if you want one with more reliability, for £25k you could build one with an LS V8 engine, which is quite a common conversion.

Some advice about selling my 1995 Blackberry VR6

Maybe we can rig the market by getting some high profile sports/classics mags to run Corrado features? :D It worked wonders for the Porsche 964 RS models, which have increased almost tenfold since a very flattering Evo article. -
Some advice about selling my 1995 Blackberry VR6

Sounds like a nice car :) It's really hard to gauge prices at the moment, as there are so few VR6s for sale. There are a couple on Pistonheads for £4k, the lowest mileage of those is 136k. Neither are blackberry, and neither have black leather Recaros (which are much nicer and rarer seats than the stock leather ones) I've never known so few be for sale at any one time. I am confident mine will be the best on the market when I put an advert up in a couple of weeks, but I guess it is all down to who is in the market for one at the time. :) A high quality advert, with a link to the Top Gear segment on the VR6 as a future classic will surely help though :) -
I love the look of the early base model 996, although I appreciate a lot don't. However, the interior in the 996 is horrible (especially the dash). It looks and feels very cheap. It is much improved in the 997. Although it may not even be on your radar, if you want a fast, reliable GT, you could do a lot worse than a MK4 Supra. They are incredibly tough cars, and the tuning potential is only limited by your wallet. They even look great if they haven't had awful bodykits fitted to them. This is mine :) (you may notice the splitter alters between the two pics, this is because some Supras have a speed activated 'active front spoiler', like the rear spoiler on Corrados. :) ) Oh, and prices are shooting up at the moment, so if you want one then get in quick.

I think I did a half hearted gauging interest thread at some point last year. But loosing my secure, free of charge storage has kind of forced my hand :D -

Yeah, I said £8k as a starting price as I know it is very top of the market, and would allow for some haggling. In my experience, it doesn't matter whether you price your car top end or bottom end, the buyer always tries to negotiate. I don't think I would accept any less than £6.5k for her, if I wasn't getting a sale for that I think I would look at storing her elsewhere, and just bring her out during summer every couple of years or so. -

Thanks David. I wouldn't describe it as concourse, but I would say it is very good. It isn't a museum piece, and although I keep it in very good condition, like all my cars I bought it to drive. :) She is also the best colour, with the best interior available IMO, which have to be strong selling points. Plus, how many Corrados have working sunroofs?! :D I've spent circa £300 on getting that working! :D -
Some advice about selling my 1995 Blackberry VR6

Thanks for the feedback guys :) I think I must have about £6500 in the car in total, always prioritizing the finish over the budget. For example, it needed some paintwork doing last year to address some scratches etc on the wings and doors, and to rectify some poor previous paintwork. So that the panels would all match, instead of spending £600 one the essential work, I paid £1500 for a full exterior respray. And I only got it for that price because I stripped the trim down, removed the interior etc for the paintjob! :D In addition to the exterior respray, I also had the rear bumper done AGAIN for £250 as I managed to scratch the back of it reversing it into the garage! And the radiator scuttle panel as it was looking a bit tired. I should probably stop adding up the money I've put into it, as it will probably far exceed the £3k previously stated! :D -
Hey guys, will be selling my Corrado soon, and just want a few pointers :) To start with, the spec: 1995 manual VR6 in Blackberry pearl 102k miles huge folder full of service history I *think* i'm the 4th owner Rare full black leather Recaro heated electric interior in great condition full outer respray in factory colour last year, looks amazing Everything works. Sunroof, spoiler, mirrors, seats (inc heaters) headlights, fogs, indicators all unmarked and uncracked Stock speedline wheels refurbished 6 months ago. Perfect condition. Toyo Proxes 4 tyres all round with loads of life left. will have brand new underseal next week only modifications are coilovers and a Milltek exhaust and 6 branch manifold. Stock suspension included. Shell is excellent. I fitted the interior myself, and had the carpets etc out. all inner wings, floors etc are perfect. had a new windscreen with the last owner, completely unmarked. MOT until late October. It had no advisories last time, and has covered 30 miles since! Just brought it out today, and she drives perfectly. it has wanted for nothing, and I must have spent in excess of £3k and countless hours on it since I bought it 18 months ago. Only selling due to loosing my storage space, and it would be criminal to keep her outside. The only fault, and i'm being pedantic here, it the roof gutter rubbers. I have refurbished them to the best of my ability, and they look okay, but some brand new ones would just finish the exterior. These are no longer available. So, what I'm wanting advice on: Is £8k a fair *starting* price? In addition to here, what sites should I be advertising her on? Definitely here, Car and Classic seems good, and maybe Pistonheads. Any other forums I should also try? Is it worth returning her to 100% stock? I had intended to fit a stock exhaust, but the sound is intoxicating. not particularly loud. Any other advice? Thanks :)

Sounds like the mechanism. The points in the motors go too, so I guess it could be that.

Looking for a nearside radiator top bracket if you have one? :) -
I'll take a set of late ones please :)
-
I will definitely take that. :) Are you the chap I bought the Boardman bike from a few weeks ago? :D
-
Yeah, I've got one here but it's not that straight forward. :( You still have to use the stock mechanism unless you can find a switch that works with the new mech and fits the corrado. I believe that's why the passat one is so popular.

At the end of my tether with the sunroof on my Corrado now, does anyone on here repair them? Thanks :)
-
I'm after a fully working sunroof for my Corrado, inc motor. I've tried repairing mine, and I've tried using an Octavia one, and neither work properly. I've ended up scratching my sunroof panel, so I'm sick of messing around with it now. Cheers :)

Looks pretty nice :) Not sure what all the buttons on the steering wheel are for though? http://suchen.mobile.de/auto-inserat/vw-corrado-cabrio-g-60-rarit%C3%A4t-einzelst%C3%BCck-berlin/180974287.html?lang=en&pageNumber=1&__lp=11&scopeId=C&sortOption.sortBy=searchNetGrossPrice&sortOption.sortOrder=DESCENDING&makeModelVariant1.makeId=25200&makeModelVariant1.modelId=12&makeModelVariant1.searchInFreetext=false&makeModelVariant2.searchInFreetext=false&makeModelVariant3.searchInFreetext=false&damageUnrepaired=ALSO_DAMAGE_UNREPAIRED&export=ALSO_EXPORT&noec=1

To be honest I'm not sure. I was working on the car yesterday and thought there was a bracket missing, which a Google search confirms. I don't know what it looks like though.
-
My body shop seem to have misplaced one of my radiator brackets! :D I need a complete top right hand bracket, complete with fixings (bolt & mount?) Cheers, Jason.

Looking for a good condition black boot floor carpet. :)
