Kev Andy Walker is the main guy, and he sourced my engine for £1100. He actually has the whole donor car still as the scrappy dropped it off for him to use what he needed to. He's gonna make it a show/track car to advertise the company.

Not normally too fussed on red, but that looks really nice mate. I think the fact that the side strips are removed makes it look brighter ;) Welcome. Nice wheels too 8)

PSI Tuning will DO the conversion for £3.5k (inc engine and parts), saving you the hassle!!

PSI Tuning quoted me around £2k for a rebuild on my VR, before I saw the light and spent a few hundred more for 12 extra valves ;)

I asked about getting the C on there, and they said they were looking into it. Go to the forum and look for the post, if more people add to it then it should start moving, hopefully ;)

If youre thinking of a VR, why not buy one off ebay (with leather) for 2 to 3 grand, then stick a 24v lump in it for 3 grand. Lot less than 10k!!

You should be able to mount the blade to you single arm with a little bit of fabrication ;)

I would assume (from my conversion) that it would be with the 1.8T management, in fact Im 99% certain it would be.

How much wonga did it cost you mate? Is it the 225 version? What gearbox have you got?

bcstudent Yes dude it was. I have just spoken to Andy, and as a ball park figure, for either a TT 225 or an S3 engine, into a G60 and therefore using the G60 intercooler and brakes is...........................................£3.5k including parts and labour!!! Give or take a bit for unforseen circumstances. Now that IS CHEAP!!!!! Should i tell him he now has a list of people ready for the conversion?? :lol:

I spoke to Andy Walker about this conversion before I got mine done, he said a ball park figure of £4k, I think??? Give him a ring and he'll defo give you a ball park price. It also depends which engine you want, what sort if intercooler etc etc. Its all down to you. If you just wanted the standard engine and parts from a Golf, then its gonna be cheaper than a 225 from a TT, and cheaper than one with different intercooler, remap, chip etc. What engine did you have in mind? Standard or modded? I'll be speaking to him today and can ask for you.

Im still going for the idea of certain areas of the forum paid for, by the CCGB membership, and the rest remaining free, as VR6OC. Oh, and I'd be more than happy to offer an hour of my time to help out during the week, with anything. i spend a lot longer than that on the CF anyway ;)

Turning off the ignition would have meant loss of steering and brakes so probably not an easy thing to do. I watch that yank sh*t when cops chase cars etc, and they ram them off the road. If our cops in their T5 Volvos did the same, we wouldnt even be talking about this!! Get some balls lads!!
