That was the main reason I did it mate. I could have spent nearly the same amount getting my 12v sorted, but it just made sense to go for newer and better (?) with more power and speed. Good luck ;)
-
R32!! And in comparison to the quote above, I got a 24v engine fitted for less than £3k, including all the parts and engine!!
-
This is an interesting thread ;) PSI Tuning will fit it, no doubt. Andy really knows his stuff mate. They are based near Stoke.

I knew it wouldnt take too long for you to turn to the darkside, all you need is a mask and some deep breathing and you will be complete ;) Oh, and 24 valves!!
-
The darkside is strong in him!!! :D
-
No but its always good to keep in with them for discounts or trial parts etc ;) Hence my custom-code chip ;)

Jay, its still in mate, but Im actually away at the moment and have been since last weekedn, so I told him theres no rush. dr_mat, I have the standard C clocks. The mk4 clocks need to be stripped and wired in behind them in order to get around the immobiliser. Will, dont think you need much more. the engine mounts do need a bit of playing about with though. When Andy did mine, he just got a 4motion car, and used whatever he needed from it. Oh, you'll need an air filter as its on the opposite side. See sig ;)

PSI will do a 1.8T conversion for around £3-3.5k
-
What about swapping for a 1.8T nstead?

I hope you told him that I gave you his details??!! May get some discount then ;) 24v!!!!!!! you know it makes sense :D
-
24v is the way forward. Great power and refinement, and still as good as the original 12v version too. I paid less than £3k for my conversion, including the engine and parts.
-
For the money they want mate, you'd be crazy not to buy it. You could always sell the 12v and get your money back, well a big lump. You know you want to ;) I also know where you can get it fitted, if you dont want to do it yourself :)
-
Thing is Awesome dont do all the work they used to, like conversions, as it was Andy Walker who did it, and now he has set up on his own. Awesome are mainly doing styling eqpt and ancillaries, you can see that from their website. Not knocking them at all, just stating whats happened.
-
They will!! I got pulled the other week, and wasnt driving like a tw*t :( Nice car though mate, top colour too, if I do say so myself
-
I think thats the cause of the problems mate, agreed. ;)

Pedal may have droped and may just need adjusting.
-
Read the sellers write up on this one too, it may solve the riddle ;) Riddle

I bought brand new ones (front and back) from fleabay, genuine parts, the other month and they both fit fine. These ones, admittedly they are Black though: Badges

 Fair enough!!

Out of interest, what oil are you all using in the 24v? You still on Synta silver, or does it require fully synthetic, being a newer engine?
-
Had mine nearly a year, but the engine for only a couple of months ;)
