I had 17's on my Corrado when I bought it, was running 205/40/17 tyres. Mine is lowered quite a bit so ride was a bit hard but not to bad. If you looking for rims you cant go far wrong with www.rimstyle.com

Ok I have done a search and couldnt see anything. Today we replaced my ECU relay as it was cutting out sometimes, now tonight I have been for a run in it and something is definitely different. It feels as if the engine has lost a little bit of urgency (bad description that), almost like its choking a bit or restricted somehow. Should replacing the relay alter the way the car performs at all? I swear it doesnt feel as fast. Just a thought but could the car have been mapped previously and when we disconnected that it has gone back to standard map?? Sorry if that is way off but not very good with engines. Adz

I bought it on Saturday and thought the same. It was a good write up but didnt half make the car sound very expensive to maintain. And yes the paint on the one photographed was poor, a little time spent finding a better example would have paid off.

Got the relays, genuine VW ones too :notworthy: Are they easy to get to? Under the drivers side near the footwell I think someone said? My Bentley manual isnt here so cant check in that

Well today its been looked at by a guy we use for diagnostic / electric stuff and Ive also spoke to someone at Stealth. They have both suggested the same thing so in the morning Im replacing the fuel pump relay and main ecu relay, hopefully this will cure it. Will see how it goes.

Yep Ive done that too, lane 4 of the M6 on a Saturday afternoon. Last time my crank sensor went so lost all power and power steering, was pretty scary!!

I have replaced my crank sensor twice in the past year and today my car has cut out again and wont start. Im betting it will do in the morning and again the AA said its 99% the crank sensor. Now a sensor shouldnt fail 3 times in a year so what is going on? Is there something else that could be causing this? Please help me as its driving me mad!!!! Car is a 95 VR6.

My bro has just bought a R reg VR6 Highline Golf with same suspension setup as my Corrado so I reckon me and him need to get lined up at Santa Pod!!

The Corrado is more expensive so it has to be faster haha

My mate Dean just did mine in 5 mins without removing anything. Just a bit fiddly with the passenger side one, used a torch and a mirror so could see exactly where he was putting it. Drivers side was very easy as I have no airbox. Nice bright headlights now! Well the passenger one isnt as bright because the inside of the lamp is filthy but that's a story for another day......
