  1. engine bay looks brand new! be interesting to see how much it goes for, and how quickly that nasty sticker gets ripped off the front!
  2. cant help but think you could buy an older one and get it refurbed for a hell of alot less than that, but its nice to see campers are still being produced! i thought it was just beetles the mexicans were making.
  3. the bit of trim thats been getting on my wick since I got the vr is those sh*te plastic screws and stupid lipped tabs that hold the center console down which no matter how many times I try and get to stay put, always pop off the next time I pull the handbrake meaning the center console doesnt sit flush.

    G60 IHI Turbo

whats the advantage of swapping out the S/C for a turbo? more boost?
  5. i think it'd only come into play if you had an accident. I had to declare my milage when I applied for my insurance, so if i said i do 5k miles a year and 3 months later I crash and I've done 4k...they may well contest it unless I can prove I wasnt planning to drive the car for most of the rest of the year! beleive me, they'll do anything to get out of paying up. I've heard in the past (not sure how true) that the whole thing over where you park your car at night, garage, drive, road etc actually makes very little difference to your policy, but if the car gets stolen from the road at night and you said it would be in the garage mr insurance will try and wriggle out of it!
  6. I'll take your word for it henny, I'm not taking the risk of testing that one out! s'probably just my simple grasp of physics failing me again! ;)
  7. might just be talking out of my backside here, but if the central drive-shaft takes the weight, then connects to the wheels via the hubs, surely eventually some of that weight is going to be transfered to the things holding the wheels onto the hubs? even if its not direct downwards gravitational pull they're going to be under more strain somewhere along the lines arent they? or have I had too much coffee again :?
  8. ah! that explains it! I didnt think about them needing to be sided! car looks sweet reguardless mate
  9. i'm probably wrong but...dont the spokes on those wheels normally face the other way?
  10. wonder if its to do with the extra engine weight? more downward pressure being put on the bolts so they thought they'd stick another one in to be sure?
  11. if the petrol in the tank was 4 years old i'd say that'd have some pretty major effects on your figures!
  12. not sure on the exact differences, but the earlier vr's are known as 'obd1' and in a shock move by VW, the later ones are 'obd2' ;) might help you in some way!
  13. small pictures of people who appear to be badly dressed homosexuals? I'll order in a job-lot and make a killing on ebay! :D
  14. i didnt realise wales was still so far behind with fashion...women in bonnets?
  15. and you're pretty much always going to get a good ride from a C thats had money spent on it....
  16. never seen that colour before... not keen TBH 'MR BRUNO CHIARIZIA' - isnt Chiarizia a pokemon?
  17. related to the group buy, theres a choice of sizes for the ARB bushes, 17mm, 18mm,19mm, or 21mm. I presume they vary depending on engine, anyone know which size is for which engine? cheers.
  18. cool, cheers lee, started to get worried when I could only just get my fingers in to take the dust-cap off! :?
  19. it does seem like theres a few general rules-of-thumb that everyone follows styling wise, they work well and I guess thats why people stick to them. Personally I think you'd have to be very creative to do something different with a corrado, and more-so for something that would appeal to everyone. The crux of the problem is that the stock lines look so right that adding anything to them can ruin the look of the car entirely, as can taking too much away.
  20. bloody Germaniese! i guess if style dynamix got them inflated in the first place they should know how its done! why didnt i think of that before? :? Cant stop looking at it at every opportunity, if i go to the office kitchen and stand up close to the window I can just see the back end sticking out...I've had more coffees today than is probably healthy and some of the other staff think i have some sort of cold-glass fetish.
  21. my mistake, just saw the 92 and thought early interior!
  22. ta kev! actually, you may be able to solve a problem I had yesterday... the valves that came with the wheels stick out about 3mm which is no where near long enough to get the nozzle of the air pump thingy onto, how the heck do you blow them up?? (mine were inflated to correct pressures when they arrived thankfully!)
