Breaking 1995 Corrado VR6 - 117k, Full Black Leather

Jim - you don't need a whole new door handle, just search for 'daves16v' on this forum, he makes a brilliant door handle repair kit. Well worth buying! Julian - no worries, keep in touch :) -
They are definitely the wrong discs. As mr.ots has said they are intended for the later VW's with the integral hub/bearing, such as the MkIV Golf, MkV Polo etc. They will not fit your Corrado so you have been sold the wrong discs. The ones you need should look like this: Discs Cheers Tom

Dave - yeah I've got a power steering tank too. Postage shouldn't be too expensive for the centre console and the tank although the box will be quite large - say £45 posted for the pair? Julian - that's too cheap for the interior. Make it £575 and you have a deal. Cheers Tom -

Steve - I do have the plastic tow eye cover, I'll get a picture for you although as far as I know it's in good nick. I can tell your missus isn't conversant with Corrado bumper components, shame on her ;-) Dave - Yes I still have the centre console however there is a tiny crack in it - here's some pictures, see what you think: How it looks when fitted: Let me know if you're interested. Screw covers have gone I'm afraid. Cheers Tom -

The roof trims aren't very good Steve, sorry. The rear VW badge was glued on and broke when removing it which was a bit crap. I've still got the front bumper, what do you mean by a 'pitch'? -

The pump and ECU have gone. I still have the wiring and the ABS light which is slightly broken on its exterior casing (but works fine and the damage is completely hidden when its fitted). -

All PM's replied to and I've updated the first post with what's still available. Quite a few other things that I haven't had chance to take pictures of yet, please ask if you need something :) Cheers Tom -
Right, here's the pictures for you: As you can see there is no kerbing at all. The blemish on the outer lip of the third picture is just where the paint has flaked off slightly. Let me know if you're interested :-) Cheers Tom

You'll also need to take a 12V live feed (IIRC) from the OBD2 loom somewhere near the fan control module in order to get your fans working properly as the Golf has a different way of operating the fans. I can't remember the colour of the wiring but it'll be in the Bentley manual. I used the Corrado fuel rail and injectors with the OBD2 engine harness. Everything in that respect is plug and play as obviously the OBD2 harness has the correct plug for the throttle body. Hope that helps, good luck! Tom

I've got one coming off a VR in the next few days. Located in Derbyshire, postcode DE56 so not too far from you. It's in good condition, looking for £50 for it. Cheers Tom

I've got a full late heated leather interior for sale, including the loom - linky Looking for £600 for it but I'm open to reasonable offers :)
-
Hey, I'm so sorry, been down at the garage all day but I got so distracted by removing the dashboard, heater box and wiring looms from the car, as well as packaging up a load of bits to post that I forgot to get the pictures of the speedlines for you :( If you're willing to wait a couple of days I can get them by tuesday evening, if that's any good? Cheers Tom

manps - the scraper isn't in great nick I'm afraid, be best to put up a wanted ad for that. ismith - if you mean the ABS pump, I'm afraid that has sold. However the sunvisors are both in good condition, £20 posted for them. lee - sorry mate, the handle went with the passenger door. mort1414 - the clocks have sold too, sorry. Sam - no worries mate, I saw a post somewhere else where you mentioned the potential house buying - good luck with that :) You sure you don't need a Corrado leather interior for your living room? ;-) I do have the upper and lower steering column plastic cowlings, however the lower cowling has had a small hole drilled in it for some part of a clifford alarm to be fitted - shall I get pictures for you anyway? Tom -
Yeah I'd be willing to courier them for you, I'm down at the garage today so I'll get some pictures for you :)

I've got a set, no tryes and no kurbing at all but a bit of flaky paint. Could definitely do with a repaint but there's no reconstructive work required. Located in Derbyshire and I'd like £70 for the set if you're interested? Tom

I don't know, I cost £20,000 when I was new and my first owner pampered me for years. Along comes this new guy who immediately starts to firkle around with my insides, replacing things that don't even need replacing! Then he goes and parks me outside in the rain - the rain!! Then, horror upon horror, he fits some 'winter tyres' to me and insists on driving me through masses of cold white stuff that serves no purpose other than to block my radiator and make my brakes freeze up. Then, just as the warmer weather is approaching he starts to plan, of all things, an engine conversion! There's nothing wrong with my engine, but no, he has to fiddle. Bloody owners. Signed - one 'daily driver' Corrado.

My friends parents have a holiday home in North Wales (Llandudno) and last year when I had my VR we headed up there, him in his Focus ST and me in the VR. Point to point across the Welsh mountain roads there was literally nothing between them, and we put them both through their paces fairly well. He wasn't impressed that my £1700 16 year-old VW was as quick as his £18000 year-old Ford! He then sold the ST and bought himself a Boxster. He was happy because from a rolling start the Porka was slightly quicker but it really wasn't any faster through the twisties. However by that time I'd sorted the suspension and brakes on my VR and it handled very nicely. In fact the same mate drove the VR just before I sold it and said it was as nice to drive as the Boxster! I then drove the Boxster and I have to admit the Porsche felt nicer but its all about individual perception. So yeah, to sum up, the Corrado VR6 is a fantastic car for the money in terms of performance. I imagine there's a lot out there that aren't reaching their full potential due to small running faults/lack of servicing etc.

Steve - do you mean the handbrake grip itself in leather? If so then yes, it's in great condition, £15 posted for that. The roof mouldings are there but there is no rubber on them anymore (as usual). Both outer window seals have gone I'm afraid. KHAWAR16 - yes the interior is still available at the moment if you're interested :) Zippy - I took the pictures before reading your reply so I've PM'd them to you anyway :) Tony - I'll be in the garage working on the car all day on Sunday. Maybe you could call by in the morning on the way (doesn't matter how early as I'm on call with work so will likely be up early anyway), have a look at the dash and if you want it I'll extract it in time for you to pick it up on the way back? I want to leave it in the car for as long as possible really as it's a bloody big bit of trim to have lying around the garage  Alan - no worries, I'm open to offers on it if you need it, let me know :) Cazza and Mark - PM'd with pics of the bits you're interested in... Zippy - yep, I have 6 nearly new HT leads that came off the car, I've examined them and I bet they've only done a couple of thousand miles at the most. I'll get some pics of those and the wiper stalk in a bit. Tony - I do indeed have the dash. It's in very good condition and I'll be removing it shortly. I have the clocks surround but it has had a small hole put in it for an alarm LED. The centre console is in pretty good condition apart from a small split around the upper face vents - it was virtually invisible when fitted but obviously I can't say it's 'mint' because it's not. The cigarette lighter, its surround and the ashtray/ashtray holder are all good. The heater controls worked fine and were tested before I removed the heater motor (which was very noisy), so I can confidently say that the heaterbox is in good condition without any worn gears. You're welcome to come and have a look once it's all out anyway, which'll likely be this weekend if not before. Let me know if you're interested in any of those parts. Cheers Tom -

Alan - yeah I've got the ABS position sensor and I've tested it on my car, its in full working order. Looking for £40 posted for it due to the fact they're obsolete now. Mark - you're up near the top ;) just need to get the tank off. Steve - I'm afraid all of those parts have gone, sorry! Angus - likewise with the O/S handle I'm afraid, sorry mate. Tom -

Cazza - I've got the coolant hoses off but not going to be in the garage this evening to get pictures, the engine only came out yesterday so I've been a bit busy sorting that out etc, I'll be back there tomorrow evening so I promise I'll get a pic then :) Zippy - I do indeed have a wiper stalk, I'll get a picture of that tomorrow for you too. Mark - I got your PM, sorry for not replying, had a lot of PM's recently! I've had a glance at the tank straps and they actually look to be in pretty good condition. Mind you with this car initial appearances can be deceiving! ;-) I'm hoping to drop the tank this weekend coming so I'll get the pictures then for you, if you can wait that long? Alan - no problem, I hope it solves your coilpack problems! :) Tom -
