  1. *sob, sob* The time has come to let my baby go to pastures new, i am looking for a loving home after 10 years of relative bliss owning this lovely little hatchback that can still give most cars on the road a good run for their money! Its high mileage, almost 200k, but still going strong due to an engine rebuild about 10,000 miles ago. Original drivetrain, but no whirs, bangs or bumps. Replaced clutch at same time. Subtle modifications like a k&n intake, upgraded coil pack, and some crystal rear lights, bbs style alloy wheels but apart from that its all original. Its sitting in my Dads driveway, currently SORN, and no mot, but it starts and runs fine. If i get interest we can put it through an mot, and go from there, but i know the abs sensor light comes on and have replacement ones to fit, but no time to do it, so hence looking for an enthusiast, not just a poser with no appreciation. A little bit of TLC will reward you with a lovely little mover! Looking for offers around £1000. Thanks. Cant load photos very easily so link here: https://db.tt/3fyq50ec
  2. Engine sold. Please delete.

  4. Sorry, delay in replying, just moved house and no new internet connection yet! Guy that bought the house has taken the blocks, but i still have the speedlines if you want them. :-)
  5. £20 picked up :-) You can arrange your own courier!
  6. As well as my spare block, I have a set of speedlines off my VR6. They will need refurbing, and 2 still have the tyres on wich are bald. I will take some pictures when i get home. Open to offers.
  7. Hello people. I am moving house soon, and have a spare vr6 abv block sitting outside that needs a new home. I had intended stripping it down and refurbishing but time has got the better of me! As i said, it has been sitting outside for about a year, semi covered up but is not going to be plug and play! But hopefuly someone may be able to give it the tlc is so rightly deserves, i really dont want to take it to the scrappy. I am located in Penryn, Cornwall. Anyone interested? :-)
  8. Hey Sean, i'll take the filter if its still available. Cheers Paul..... oh hang on will this fit a vr6?
  9. Just by way of an update, i was going to take the fuel pump out, but i removed the relay and when i put it back in again the pump primed and the car started normaly! So not planning on taking the pump out now! Looks like youve got some expert advice from the other members anyway, so guess you dont need me anymore! Hope it all works out for you. :-)
  10. Mines gone too. I plan to have it out today, so i will copy down the part no. for you. Its from a 1995 vr6 obd2.
  11. Hi Chris, have you still got the petrol tank and pump? If so can you courrier to tr10 8rx in cornwall for me? Cheers Paul.
  12. Yeah good point FishWick, i forgot to ask him that!! Just thought any bilsteins would do! I'll find out.
  13. Hey guys, I have been offered some bilstein shocks with apex springs (apparently 6 months old) for £175, currently running stock suspension but i need to upgrade. Is this a decent ride? Seems cheap?
  14. Well mine is well and truly done in! Mind you I havn't changed it since owning the car for nearly 10 years now! Its a bosch one so i think i will get the same again. Thanks for the recommendation fla. Gonna give GSF a try. Bad luck Carrots, was it a bosch one? Just been online to gsf, they are quoting £220 (£60 exchange included) for the 2kw version!! Thats a bit more than £80! Or am i wrong?
  15. Just happened to mine as well! Mrs said the battery was flat.... its 1 month old! So gave the starter a whack with a hammer and hey presto! Started first time. Classic test to confirm starter motor is on the way out. Unlikely to be anything else, reckon its f****d! Going to see how much for an overhaul tomorrow, probably just worn bushes, so should be repairable instead of chucking it away. All comes down to cost. Is it cheaper to repair or buy new? I have seen new ones on fleabay for around £65/ £70. If yours is only 12 months old cant you take it back? They should last a few years at least!
  16. I think i was lucky in that I only had an issue with the coilpack, not the ICM. And now thanks to Fishwick, I have a spare! But your certainly right in saying the bosch upgrade isn't for the faint hearted. The funniest bit whilst i was trying to pinpoint the fault Maybe someone else out there has already done this modification?
  17. Just by way of an update and to close this thread. I got hold of another ford coilpack and it is now running perfectly! Can't believe both the original and the 1st replacement coilpacks had the same fault but 3rd time lucky!! I have been running it daily since the end of January, the car starts on the button, first time every time, much smoother idle as well. Really pleased with the outcome, since replacing the coil pack i havn't had any starting issues at all. I would highly recommend the modification to anyone.
  18. Hi. Some idiot just rear ended ours, so i was looking for a new tinted passenger side indicator, however these look really nice. Would you take £50 quid posted?
  19. Sorry! That makes sense! I had a thick moment there!
  20. Hello and welcome! Just thought i'd put my name on the list for a get together too! I'm in the mighty Fal (well Penryn actually)! I might be able to suggest a nice beachside venue if anyones interested? Let me know.
  21. Hello, Have you still got the headlight loom? Is it standard or uprated please?
  22. Hi scott1980, Not an expert on the valver, but I have been looking for hoses for a while, and remember seeing a discussion thread on this very same subject, just follow the link, and i hope it is of use. http://the-corrado.net/archive/index.php/t-33519.html?
