Corrado lights have always been poop.. you running an uprated loom?? if not I'd invest in one.. if funds allow get a HID kit...

check wiring loom in engine bay.. I found myn wouldnt work, kept blowing fuses.. checked the wiring in bay under airbox & the wires had spilt causing them to not work etc.. worth a look...

Hi Bally, any chance of a wiring sketch, cos I need to get the high beams wired up somehow without having to buy a second set of ballasts. Did you use an uprated loom? Hi mate Dont have a wiring diagram.. Im running an uprated loom which is wired into the OE loom.. I run the HID wiring etc & all seemed to work fine...

I'm going with 5300K the rubber grommits comes installed with the McCulloch HID capsules so nothing to buy or install. :D sounds like a well put together kit... 8)

Interesting stuff.. Ive fitted hi/low 6k HID's to my stock lamps & find them to be awesome.. Ive got them wired in so when I flick the stalk the centre/high beam comes on too.. not had any issues, apart from headlight beam was abit to high, adjusted them down.. corradog60stage4 awesome writeup.. wondering were you got the rubber gromits fitted to the rear of the main headlight bulbs were the wiring comes out of lamp, as I dont want water getting into lamps & found that a really nice neat OE look...

Thanks all for yr replies... well the headgaskets changed & all done.. It was really badly worn & damged.. cleaned up all the head & bottom end, alot of gunk in the breathers etc.. gave it a good run this evening.. no issues so far.. all running fine.. good to be back in it & driving it again.. Big Thanks to Gareth & Roby D for there time today.. My bro for painting few bits up & bleeding the coolant system up & Bill for the dremel & other tools... Hopefully get through the winter now & then I'll be changing the old valver for NewSkool power!!! :D

Thanks mate... gona do the valve steam seals etc... not bothered abt performance with this lump, just want it running & use it through the winter.. its all being ripped put next year for something special..... :D

Morning mate yes since fitting the oil cooler & doing the matrix its got worse.. oils such a messy.. flushed the systme lastnite... really bad... dont want to screw the engine up... its done alsmot 189k so still good for OE lump... cars not overheating etc... not got the symtoms of a HG failure... but for the sake of a few quid gona wip the head of & do the gasket.. real shame as I wanted to pull the whole lot out & do a complete engine change.. bad time of year to be doing that on the driveway... :lol: Cars parked up for now til the wkend & I'll rip it all apart!! Im gona order the bits this morning...

What parts do I need & any tips?? Im abt to order head bolt set & complete HG set... Ta
