  1. Easy bro.. wow you have been busy.. coming along nicely... bet you cant wait to get it back on the road!!
  2. yes mate, engine swap planned for winter... done a few changes... wasnt happy with the stance so lowered the front more, fitted camber shims on the rear... changed the front headlights to stock ones & fitted 6k HID's.... What do the camber shims do to the rear? What engine you going for? Or is it a secret  gives the rear wheels negative camber.. better for clearance.. tyres dont wear to badly on the inner edge  .. had all the tracking etc sorted when I changed all the front top mounts & bushes couple days before E38.. Engine wise.. something fruity... been changing alot of bits on it as its clocked up 187k now...
  3. I find, its easier to remove the leg of the car & stick it a vice then work on it... Bills snap on airgun comes in handy for jobs like this...
  4. get the timing set & CO level etc.. myn gets upto 37mpg & its done 187k!!
  5. Bet painting the buckets black really helped! Seeing them at ED30 Rob and I were like "WTF how the hell does he see at night?" I wasnt using it at nite.. now I can :D
  6. yes mate, engine swap planned for winter... done a few changes... wasnt happy with the stance so lowered the front more, fitted camber shims on the rear... changed the front headlights to stock ones & fitted 6k HID's.... How are the Headlights Bally? Thoght HIDs and fluted glass mean that the beam patterns are all over the shop... They are so much better... not had any problems so far.. they light up the road great.. compared to the candles I had fitted before
  7. couple of pics from E38... none of the front though.. maybe cos it looked crap!!
  8. yes mate, engine swap planned for winter... done a few changes... wasnt happy with the stance so lowered the front more, fitted camber shims on the rear... changed the front headlights to stock ones & fitted 6k HID's....

  17. Chaps.. I had front drivers bearing play little while ago.. had it repacked with grease & tighten back up no probs.. mate noticed CV outer boot leaking so Ive got one but havent yet replaced it.. but the noise is still there.. Normal wheel bearings get noiser when turning left or right.. myns seems to be in a straight line.. no change in noise.. constant humming noise.. its almost like dry joint?? I bought a new CV joint too.. but Bill & myself arent sure if its the bearing or something else? Any ideas??

  21. Why bother with that when you can Use the Std VW stuff! Mines running DBW and VVT all on STD VW Management! For £3K I got my whole conversion done!!!! hi m8 i have just started doing thic bam in my corrado. just wanted to know how did u fit padel and padel sencer for the DBW throtal plz? im running STD VW Management with remap 290 bhp or wt would be the best way off getting rid of sencer padel and sencer throtal putting cable throtal. surjit[/quote:2a4f9] Easy Surj.. goodluck with the conversion.. look forward to seeing it all done.. Good mate of myns having a 20vt fitted in his nimbus MK2.. his has cost him abt 3k ish too...
  22. cheers all for yr replies.. 20vt is way to common... just had a good look around, seems like the driver CV boots split & grease inside rim.. minor fix.. what worried me was the amount of play in drivers wheel when we move it side to side... think the wheel bearings fooked.. not something I can do.. so will get it to mates garage asap... once Ive had above fixed, if theres still a rattling noise I'l have to look into it further.. not good timing.. oh well, its my daily so cant be helped...
