What sort of RPM should my VR idle at?? It's sitting just above 500 at the moment, and actually stalled last night when i pushed the clutch down rolling to a stop. This morning, when it was cold, i noticed it was running at about 750rpm and it seemed a lot happier. Is this the sort of figure i should be looking at when warm?? If so, where is the adjustment screw for it? Cheers

I've got to have a new alarm fitted to the C when i finally get my hands on it. Can anyone recommend an installer, either static based in the midlands area, or mobile, willing to tavel 30miles south of Birmingham? I am also after any recommendations on the alarm itself too. I'm after a Cat 1 with total closure facility and that's basically it. I was thinking of a Toad, Cobra or Sigma. Any thoughts? Cheers

Yup, looks like capacitors! Just looks like he's made his own low pass filter and stick it inside the box. As for the windings of the transformer being there, well, that don't look like it should be doing anything to me. Theres no connctions to the coils (is there?) and nothing passing though the centre, so i can't see it working as a transformer anyway! Think it's just a home made filter. Personally, i'd get a new sub (get it off the net though, mine was loads cheaper) and run new cables through from the terminals to the sub just in case! 8)

That is the one. At the moment it's all back on anyway. He phoned me yesterday saying that he "forced it onto the garage and they MOT'd it there and then!" So i should be picking it up today. If he farts me around today though, he can shove it!

Well, Christmas is cancelled this year! Just phoned the bloke to see how the MOT went and he tells me that he can't get it in this week, it'll have to wait till after next weekend. He found out on Saturday and never let me know and now just expects me to sit around on my a*** for another week!! This bloke messed me around enough last week when i wanted to go and see it that i have just lost faith in him! Phoning him later to tell him where to stick it! The search for a decent car with a reliable seller is back on! :mad:

After over a month of searching i've finally found my first C! A 94M VR6 in Aqua Blue is my weapon of choice! I should be collecting the beast tonight as it is going in for an MOT this morning. It is a one owner car with 62k on the clock, and i really can't wait for this evening fo rthe nice drive back to my place! Pictures will follow in the next couple of days.

By pure chance i rang about a Corrado VR6 in the Autotrader (a copy that was about 7 weeks old) and it turns out the trader selling that one deals only in Corrado's! I don't know any names or anything but he is in Burton on Trent. I know it's a long shot but does anyone know this dealer??

There's a mystic Storm on Loot.com at the moment. New ad yesterday, and i'm too tight to pay my £5 to find out more. All i know is it's mytsic blue with black leather and it's £4750. If anyone has paid they're money on that site, could they dive in and have a quick look for me! Ta! 8)

What exactly do they do for it that makes it expensive then??? Having never owned a car with FSH, is the service book detailed enough to show me what has been/needs to be done each service? :?

I've read a few posts that have scared me a bit today. Within about 10 mins i've read a couple of posts saying "save up" and "i would have one if money was no object", are Corrado VR6's really that expensive to keep?? I've had 8V MK2 GTI's in the past, and admittedly the last one hardly cost me anything, but i'm not against throwing money at a car. Would i perhaps be better off with a MK3 Highline?? :? :cry:

Am i right in thinking that the VR6 has an expensive service at 60-70k? I've heard about it somewhere, but i don't know anymore. I've found a C VR with 66k on the clock, i don't want to buy it and be faced with a massive bill in 4k's time!! Can't you shed any light on it??

Not too sure if i can stretch to the N plate, but if i can, then that was my first thought too. Unfortunately the 94 M with black leather looks like it may have sold, gonna do a bit mor investigating. After that, my first choice is the 94 M Ice Grey one, just for the leccy Recaro's!! :? 8)

I've found a few C VR6's for sale but i'm torn between them, partly because of interiors. What do you all think? 1994 M VR6, Dusty Mauve (i think Ice Grey Violet), 83k, electric cloth recaros, £6200. 1994 M VR6, Dark Met. Blue, 74k, full black leather (standard), £5000 1995 N VR6, Blackberry met. 37k, heated grey leather, £7650 or 1994 M VR6 Dark met. blue, 66k standard cloth interior, £6800 What would you choose??? :?

Must have been the Ice Grey Violet then, as they claimed the dusty mauve was on an M plater! If you could mail me the PDF of the brochure that'd be great, that way then i can see what i'm looking forward to! Cheers

found one under the class of Dusty Mauve, is this a Corrado colour too or are they thinking of the ice grey one? Seen a couple of metallic red ones, but i'm not too sure about those, but i've also seen a "Blackberry" one. Any ideas about that? :?

I'm currently searching for a C VR6. I have come across quite a few nice sounding examples, ut i'd love to have a colour that is perhaps a bit sought-after/rare. Is there any that you lot can think of, other than yellow??

I've seen their black '93 K plate Corrado 20VT up for sale. Sounds gorgeous, and was a pparently on the stand at Inters this year. Does anyone know anything about this car, and does anyone have any recent photos of it (ie, from Inters or something this year). I am very tempted to buy this, as long as i can sell the Golf, do you think it might be wise? Cheers for your help!

I've decided the time is nigh, to ditch the MK2 Golf GTI that i've cherished for the last couple of years, and get something else. One of my choices is a Corrado VR6. I'm looking at spending a maximum of £7k really, so i was thinking of maybe a Storm, otherwise a late fairly high specced non-Storm. I want to go for as low a mileage as possible, prefereably around 60-70k. Is there any pointers that you lot can give me on what to look out for, plus i'm after some interior pics of the Storm if anybody has any!
