  6. Not down john nike way anymore nope :( tho i'll be in bracknell still every now and then since the new job requires site visits... Unfortunately i'm having to cut the list short of an ARB and VT engine mount as i have more pressing issues to deal with 1st... Was having some warm start issues along with slight missfire... Dave ran a compression test... results as follows... Compression readings: 1:11.2 2:10.1 3:10.8 4:9.8 5:11.3 6:7.5 Plugs are clean so they don't suspect the problem is engine bore wear, just a bad valve. No 4 is a little low but within spec, No 6 is just out of the VW spec of 3 bar variation between cylinders. Hence it's not running quite right but still OK. Removing the cylinder head whilst in doing the chains and clutch etc. Parts needed. Head gasket set. Head bolts. Exhaust manifold bolts. The head will be skimmed, valve guides checked and replaced if needed. Valves re-ground. New stem seals etc. Ah well priorities have changed slightly... so i'm cutting back on the ARB and engine mount... these are bits i can get done at a later date anyway... all other work is going ahead as planned!

  23. I did... drained it from the matrix hoses... got most of it out... you should really drain it from the lowest point in the system, but i was being lazy... not exatly sure where that was but got rid of most of the old stuff from the matrix hoses... then just add the deionised water and anti-freeze...
