Found out that the inlet mani that i bought was for OBD2, not OBD1... i'm not a happy bunny! even tho i was assured by the seller (from the forum) that it was OBD1... Tho i'm not mentioning any names.......... MJVR6!! Oh well, i guess i'll just sell it on.... or maybe look to go for an OBD2 conversion...

How tall are you Kris, the Hornet is not good for tall people. I like them, and they were a contender for my first bike, however upon sitting on one I realised I was way to big (6ft2). I bought a Bandit 600 instead, a great first bike and all rounder. I'm 6ft... My mate has one... in fact almost identical to the one in the pic (his is just a lil more dirty :tongue: ) and i found that i fit on it pretty much perfectly... my mate with the bandit did the same thing as you... he's 6ft 3-4 and built like a brick sh*t-house and found that it was the only bike that didn't make him look like he had nicked a todlers pushbike!

I was on holiday over the weekend... was hoping to get the car back yesterday, but there were some more unfortunate delays... better news today however! the engine is back together and running... perfect idle and very smooth... compression test tomorrow... then KWs and Jetex to go on! :D

I was actually hoping to have it this weekend, but due to VWs lack of pace in delivering parts, it's been delayed by another week, and ther worst thing is that i'm going on holiday on thursday till next monday... I'll probly end up grabbing a train up there the day i get back from Marrakech. the 1 disappointment i had is that i'm not getting the rear beam colour coded like the front stuff just yet... i ran out of budget due to the engine faults that appeared... :( Oh well... next payday... i'll be up there again for the rear beam, ARB and VT engine mount... to... well you know... finish the job! :lol: Will be cool when you get urs done matie! let me know when it's done and we'll meet up for a brew... :grin:
