Hey all havent posted in a while... been busy over tha last few weeks so happy new year! anyway... to the point... i had a small dent taken out of my driver side door not too long ago and now the door is leaking... i know that it's the vapour sheet that hasen't been put back on properly cos it's coming from the bottom of the door-card... i've taken it upon myself to patch up the vapour sheet and although it's not leaking as much, it's still leaking... there is only so much that i can do and the guy i got the dent sorted with is blaming everything but thier handy work! i thought i got rid of it till i washed the car... the carpet was getting a bit damp... is it woth taking it to VW to fit a new vapor sheet, cos TBH i don't know who to trust to do a decent job... anyone know ppl around fleet/farnborough that they could recommend? Thank yall!

yeah i've always swayed between BP and Shell, but i've noticed i get better milage from Shell... and it's generally cheaper...

Right, so i've always been thinking... what is the best fuel to use on ye olde VR6... what are your thoughts? not just on the VR6 but in general... what would you recommend...? i've personally gone for shell optimax... but i've been told that BP ultimate is better... i'm not too sure... also... how do i create a poll? :scratch:

Mine is just plain Burgandy Pearl Effect - LC2U it wasn't on the paint code list... thought i'd add it...

Well it has an ever so slightly leaky head gasket, so i'll deffinately be rebuilding the head... tho i'm told that it's not that serious... the important thing is that the coolant and oil is not mixing... £1500 isn't too bad for all that actually... i was expecting it to be more...

She's all standard VR6 xcept a K&N filter and all red rear lights... if i had even half the knowhow that some of you lot had there is sooo much i would do... not to mod it or anything, but to replace all the old parts for new ones... there is a list of things that i'd like to get done... a big one for me is the interior! want to eventually get cream leathers all around... not easy to find tho! i've ordered some lupo arms and blades, should have those next week... [EDIT] - They never came! :( just had the front arms/bushes and ball joints replaced... got new rear discs and pads... want to get the engine rebuilt.... that one will cost me so i need to really think about it before i get it done... this is purely because i know it can make all the difference if it's done properly and i'll be getting metal gaskets for it... while thats being done i'll get the intake manifold polished and detailed... i know this is really picky but i'll be getting a bit of the foam lining under the bonit replaced as it's wearing away a bit... bonnet, front bumper and rear bumper will eventually be resprayed... don't like stone chips! rear axle bushes will need replacing soon too... which is a bitch cos they are an ass to get to... i'll just replace anything that needs to be when the rear sub frame is dropped i suppose... that'll be nice n costly! will also get her a stainless steel exhaust... i've seen that jetex one for about £330 odd... all of this will cost a bit and like most ppl the credit crisis has left tread marks all over my bank account so it'll be a long process! does anyone have a few grand they can lend me! :D

it's not easy finding full raddo leathers in good nick... that ppl are willing to sell anyway! i'm trying to find cream leathers to go in my car... prooving to be a bitch! lol

wow... i've just had a read through the last 10 pages... all i have to say is... i envy you! i wish i had the time, money, patience and most of all the knowhow to do all that... i'm sure it'll be everything you want it to be!
