-
I'm not as clued up on this as most ppl here, but i can imagine it would be fairly costly... would be a good lil project for you tho! i had a number of a guy that has done a few mark 2 VR6 conversions... if i can find the number i'll ask him... can PM you his number if he's cool with it... where abouts you from?

I don't have a pic of the thermoswitch but it's the green component attached to the round plastic end of the motor that houses the brushes. You will notice is is wired inline with one of the brushes, all you need to do is unsolder and remove it and replace it with some wire. I did mine about four months ago now and it has worked perfectly ever since. :) Be sure to clean and lubricate your runners aswell so as not to put the motor under undue strain otherwise you may find it starts blowing the fuse. :([/quote:1p3h2yrw] can you do all of this with the motor in place or would you have to remove it?

what software is that?! i could sooooo do with that!

apparantly it's only on one side of the tyre... so you'll find that one side will be easy to find and on the other side it'll be on the inside... was it on the passenger side of the car by any chance?
-
ouch... ok so that'll be on the end of the to-do list...
-
I've been thinkin of gettin a diff... how much are we looking at, fitted?
-
i have the same problem... i'd take the motor out, but there are so many wires n things in the way i'm just afraid of bodging something up... Tom, do you happen to have any pics of your strip down of the motor?

looks like my tracking was fine... seems as tho it's just a soft compound... does anyone know if eagle F1's have been disscontinued? great link... 07 at the back and 08 at the front...
-
i was going to get eagle F1's but i'm told they have been disscontinued... :bad-words:
-
they couldn't get it on time... but the grommit that was already on there was fine... all replaced and working fine now... yey! need a new grill now tho... accidently broke a clip... :brickwall:
-
ya think a W12 would fit in there?
-
tracking isn't too bad... i mean it pulls slightly to the left but otherwise nothing too serious that it would cause the tyres to wear that much...
-
that was my 1st thought... bloody kwik fit! :censored:
-
 there is a corner that i like to take quite quickly... i've noticed that where before i could take it at 55mph... now it starts squeeling at 50 mph... I'll get it put on an uber alignment jig... any places ppl could recommend around the hampshire berkshire area? theres your problem right there.... kwick fit!! :bad-words: if the camber is not off then hows the suspension looking? i had similar problem when my rear spring shoe came a little loose.[/quote:2wftdtg4] I'll get that checked out tomorrow... could be that... i was a bit worried taking taking it to kwik fit but at the time my alignment was pretty poor and i just need it to be sorted... in hindsight i should have taken it to be done by someone half decent cos now i my need new front tyres already... :brickwall:
-
yeaha! tho i'd still rather have the VXR8 pickup!
-
you must show me the ways of the force, obi wan! seriously tho, i want to do that to my car... just don't know how... :(
-

I don't remember them checking that... they did the whole lazer wheel alignment stuff... but, i don't thnk they did the camber...
-
lol it was done by kwik fit... the steering has been pretty straight and true... The car has a minor service booked for tomorrow... i know the brake pads need replacing... i'll get him to check it out while here there... but if anyone has any other theories in the mean time, plz lemme know... :salute:
