Hi Folks, i have just purchased one of these and need abit of advice from somebody regards wiring it up. i am going to place it in the boot, probably screwed to the rear seats. i have the wiring diagrams etc so think i should be ok with what goes where but as far as i can see i need power, rca and it also comes with a control unit which i need to run cables for from front to back for each. what i wanted to check is, if i remove the centre console, rear hump etc will it be ok if i just run all the cables together underneath. i think i remember reading somewhere that you can get interference if the cables are too close to each other?? been a while since i fitted any kind of stereo stuff is this the case or am i just making the intereference but up :lol:

sorry to bring up an old topic....have did a search and found somebody who had the same problem but nobody replied to his thread and the other threads havent shed much light. hopefully get a better response than the other guy. when i got my C the spoiler wasnt working because the stereo was wired wrong.....the old blue wire trick and has worked perfect ever since. however yesterday the spoiler went up automatically at the correct speed but now wont go down.....either automatically or with the switch.....it is just stuck up please tell me it is something simple.....please

Well, the breaking down was something that could have happened to any car, it just munched through the last of one of its brake pads, and would have started scoring the disk if driven much further. Not much you can do about that at 5pm on a Sunday! Everying else, brakes, transmission, engine performed flawlessly despite the fact it was a hot day out on track. The 2.3l Cosworth engined Caterhams were catching us, but you'd probably have the edge over the older 1.6l Crossflow engined ones! The top speed is just over 130mph, but it doesn't stop pulling until it gets there. The acceleration and handling are just something else. My friend uses it as his daily driver :D Cheers, T think 130mph top end is a bit conservative for an Exige S, before the corrado i had a 111R elise and that would easily see over 130mph (on track of course) :norty: that was with 30 BHP less

oh no, here goes....me imparting knowledge to somebody. i have been havin trouble with my stereo recently anyway, whenever i turned the ignition off, the stereo lost all the radio stations etc. also the spoiler wasnt workin so i thought i would kill 2 birds with one stone. obviosly had a good idea how to fix the problem with the spoiler and as far as i could tell just needed to swap a couple of wires around with the stereo wiring to get a constant live. hence, the stereo was totally unplugged yesterday until i could get to a mates house and we could have a look at it. so basically the blue/white wire wasnt getting any kind of signal from the stereo (as if i had cut the wire, but without actually cutting it). went a spin and up came the spoiler. then just a case of cutting the blue/white wire (i cut it couple of inches behind the iso plug) and taped the ends up. so what i would recommend for anybody having the same problem is - before cutting anything, stripping bits of spoiler off etc - unplug the head unit - take the car a spin and see if it remedies the problems - if the problem still persists, then it is probably not the blue/white wire that is causing it

guys, thanks for the tips on using the search and advanced search. i do use the search facility but as Aqua said it brought up so much info that i got lost pretty quick. however, i have one final question....i promise...... ..........the meaning of life??? discuss only kiddin :nono: but i do have one final question..... on previos posts the wire is said to be blue/white or blue/grey. looking at mine i have both.....B/W going to "remote on" and B/G going to "dimmer" what is the bad boy that needs removin???? cheers

sorry, i didnt think i was hi-jacking it. i have the same problem as the OP (stereo changed and spoiler not operating automatically at speed) and think i need to fix it the same way. just wanted a bit of further advice before i start cutting but again sorry if if i have.....i didnt mean it occifer

errr....dunno somebody will be a long in minute who knows what they are talkin about

guys, sorry to dredge up an old thread. i think i have the same problem as above and i have taken the stereo out but the only blue & white wire i can see seems to be going into one of the ISO connectors. is this the one i should be fixin?? if it is, will it simply be a case of cut it, and a wrap a bit of insulating tape round it?? thanks for the help, i dont wanna start cutting wires i have no idea abou :help: t

:D :D :D :D right its out!!!! key in the side so a big well done to easypops now i have it out the wiring looks different. no yellow and red, there is 2 put together with bullet connectors but they are different sizes . will this be them??? there is a few others which are loose and just some insulating wire around them.

been tryin that as well, nothin, cant even feel anythin when i push them in....ooh er!!! i sound like sid james what i mean is i cant feel any resistance. was wonderin if LG were diferent????

i am very much an amature ICE person but as far as i am aware i need to swap 2 wires(red & yellow) at the back and it should be sorted. the problem is i physically cant get the head unit to pop out the cage.

hi guys, as the title suggests really. i got my car a few weeks ago and it is fitted with an LG head unit. however i am having a couple of problems with it. whenever i turn the ignition off all the radio stations are lost. also the spoiler wont rise automatically. i have read through previous posts and think i need to swap a couple of wires at the back to sort the loss of the stations and possibly insulate another wire to sort the spoiler. the problem i have is i cant get the bl :censored: :censored: dy thing out!!!! any suggestions???? thanks richi

used my headlights for the first time last night as well....was also pleasantly surprised coming from a Lotus Elise which had headlights like two candles
