Started cleaning it and looking at what need to be done. The finish is going to be untouched because its a unmolested manifold!
-
Ohhhhh it feels soooooooooo niiiicccceeeee!!!!

A Blue cap is just a revision of the black one. Allways get a new cap when doing the coolant change ;)

I use this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/VAG-Tool-1921-Coolant-Hose-Clamp-Pliers-Plier-for-VW-Volkswagen-Audi-/231701179384?hash=item35f2776bf8:g:FX0AAOSwFnFWBiSx&item=231701179384&vxp=mtr

Some peoples say different... but I hope it will be noticeable :D
-
I got it cheap also :D So.. now the car should go like stink!
-
Cheers guys! I think it would be best to just shoot and get the whole set from Goodridge... trying to get it alittle bit cheaper but :) But keep talking, all information is good information. Someone that can make custom is an other idea but I dont know where...
-
Why im asking is because Im getting the VSR manifold fitted... and going to add Phenolic gaskets, and was thinking about this I heard years ago but cant find any facts that it does anything for the heat.
-
Could be that or just cost... VW are cheapskates ;) What do you want for your cover? I live in Sweden so.. ;)
-
So.. Could a plastic valve cover on a VR6 keep the temp lower inside a enginebay and not act like a heatsinkt? I have a metal valve cover, and I have heard that the plastic one will not heat up the manifold as much. Is it worth doing?

Ordered some early christmas presents for myself (The car) Two sets of seals and the return springs. Now Im going to get some brake cables and the rear is sorted... and maybe a VSR for the engine ;)
-
I asked about the Corrado on the show.. but not about my Edd :D
-
There isnt anyone that makes these for the Forum? Last time I checked we had Swampy but now I dont know... The biggest hassle is communication, I cant seem to get ahold of some vendors :( But there is a couple of months left until spring so :D
-
Yeah... where can I get braided brake lines for my Corrado? I allready got Goodridge on, but now im going to change the rears and front from stock to MK4 units in the back and the 288kit in the front Goodridge only sells a complete kit for the fronts, 6 hoses when I only need two. Any one that can supply these?
-
Nha mate :( Looked true my phone and I didnt have any more pictures. The brakes was about 15years old and they looked like they where 30years old ;) Just cleaned them with a wire brush on my drill and then a layer of etch primer, and then some Hammerit Smooth silver. I also noticed that I didnt have the 38mm version I first thought... these are the 41mm version, so my seals I ordered are the wrong ones

And today I took her for a drive! Its winter here in Sweden, but we have 12C so Im not complaining :D
-
Looks alot better. Doesnt it? :D

I allways go for the best mpg rating. Often, a tyre with a good rating on the fuel side are a good tyre in general. My latest was Goodyear Efficent Grip. Silent and good for the milage!

I got a Hella unit in my car now. The one before was the original unit! Damn, it had hold up great all these year! But, it fitted like it should, and it works great. Cant see why anything would be better? The only ones that can be called a better unit is the ones with metal flanges so it will never ever crack.

357867169B41 is for the black ones... :)

Who even uses the drain on the crack pipe? Just drain it from the lowest hose on the radiator ;) I got the Topran earlier... it was total crap! The thermostat house had a big gap in it because of the twisted ass plastic from factory. And the pipe didnt fit! Just like yours. Buy genuine or any other make... Meyle makes good parts!
