  1. I've seen that cartoon before, very funny!
  2. And this is the reason I glued my red badge to my grille! Not that weak stuff either, aircraft grade structural adhesive! I don't want some scrote knocking it for a quick profit!
  3. If you run after market fans, they tend to run cooler simply because that massive fan and shroud stops decent airflow through the radiator itself. My temps went down by 5c the moment my fans came out.
  4. As I said before, nice work! Any advisories?
  5. Me Rob? The Vulcan was a very heavy, very long range bomber. Have a Google about the bombing raids on the Falklands.
  6. Add me to the list as a provisional please!
  7. Weirdly my anti virus blocks his page too unless I manually bypass it.
  8. There is more than 1 way to skin a cat who is it comes to Aero Wipers. This being one of them.
  9. I'll have second dibs on the wings please. But I'll need them posted. Not up St Andrews a lot these days.
  10. Ahh Yeah sleepy Scampton. I'm in and out of there regularly. Actually I'm in and out of most stations all the time!
  11. You should have a look on his website. Loads more pictures of the beast on there!
  12. The stamp is usually on the opposite end to the gearbox at rear edge.
  13. I like the shape of the bolt heads. Very different and somebody has been anal enough to square them all up. Nice!
  14. What version of the 2.8 was this Engine Jake/Mimjed?
  15. For my sins I am, Goldie. Out soon though to return to the street.
  16. I posted that as a reply to an earlier statement but 5 or 6 posts had been made between posting and it being published. Hence I've now edited it to make sense. Coningsby is no where near Farnborough either :)
  17. I was at Farnborough the other week for the airshow repairing a Red Arrow that met an kamikazee Pigeon. Airliners should not fly like that! My wife happens to do a lot of the Facebook stuff for BBMF.
  18. Luckily (or not depending on who you are) I work in the back end of nowhere on an airbase where the BBMF are based. This has allowed me to see both of the only remaining airworthy Lancasters flying together on a regular basis and I feel very privileged to be in this situation. Today I was again luckily enough to be at said airbase to watch the 2 Lancasters and Vulcan take to the air together for possibly the first and last time ever. Cue some very dodgy footage from my phone. The wind was gusting so ruined the sound but turn it up and you will hear the glorious howl of the Vulcan followed up by the best noise ever invented by mankind, 8 Merlin engines on song! Enjoy it for the noise, not the picture quality!
  19. I'm not around for the next week for the fan module and wiring so no mad rush to get it out to me. Let me know how you want paying as well please.
  20. Even when you go up to 288 brakes, you'll loose some pedal feel as those calipers have 54mm pistons. You Coul of course fit a master servo that was more suited to the bigger servo but then you'll run into feel problems there too! I've got a teves20 system and 288 brakes and I can't complain but then the 2 were designed around each other.
