What a brilliant way of spending that retention bonus! Looks great!

The bloke is annoying. Being pelted by stones is a bit extreme though!

1995 (M Reg) Corrado VR6 Breaking - Updated with Pictures

I've still heard absolutely nothing from you regarding the fan module and wiring. No pm, nothing! -
I'm running mine through a stock system bar the conversion downpipe and it's perfect. Still sounds good when you're giving it a bit of love, otherwise, very subtle. The only box I'm thinking of removing is the middle silencer before it gets to the suitcase box. To avoid horrible droning leave the suitcase box in place or fit a decent aftermarket box in it's place. Mic's 24v with a Borla exhaust is the best i've heard bar none.

I feel for your pain. That's quite an accident so early on in your ownership. -

Going to treat myself to a bit of op kneejerk in Minhad. Sweat out the last of this cold I've got! The BBS wheels are pretty though mic! -

As it's so easy to apply, I just top up every few weeks. A good Polish and seal topped off with a few coats of wax works for me! -

A few weeks on and I've changed to Dodo Juice Blue Velvet and initial impressions are good! Easy to apply/remove and decent results. That and this is a wax that works with my mojo, I ended up giving away my AutoGlym HD wax as I just didn't get on with it! For those of a car cleaning disposition, gratuitous beading in this afternoons crap weather. I was in the garage sorting stuff out BTW, not standing in the rain! -
The other difference is that the Mk3 ABS light won't fit in the Corrado dash and the Corrado light WILL NOT work with the Teves20 system. You need to make a hybrid light up out of the pair. There is an ABS light that you can take from the B4 passat but they are not easy to get hold of. Not even slightly easy. Sometimes they pop up. You also need a specific light that has a part number that ends in AA or AB otherwise the light won't work with the Teves system. If you fit the mk3 servo/master cylinder combo, you will need to cut a thread into the brake pedal pivot point as the mk3 is a ball joint and the Corrado pedal is a fork and bolt arrangement. Also note that not all mk3 ABS systems were Teves20 systems, only the later versions. It's almost plug and play but don't be under any illusions that it is a simple afternoon in the sun upgrade. It requires a complete new brake line system fitting and a custom bracket made up to hold the ABS pump. Hang in there though, it is worth the effort. The step up in technology from Corrado to Teves system is very noticeable. I'm running this alongside braided lines and 288 brakes and it's a fantastic (for a old car) system. I'm sure anyone who has driven mine or a similar system will agree with me.

Due to all of the safety systems in place in the aircon system, it's not simply a case of connecting an a/c on/off switch. You need either this digital system or the dial and switch system. Both have inbuilt logic boards though and the behind the scenes wiring is quite involved. As said before. Install the whole system for simplicity, if that's the right word to use! It's a very involved mod.

Whenever the wife does something like this, I get suspicious. Question is, what are you after?! If it's that bit of wiring, I'll do it when I get back from my travels!
-
Mum chocolate! Cheers Mic! The wife enjoyed it!

I only ever use the 3/8 wrench apart from piddly little stuff and big sub frame type stuff that requires the use of the 1/2 torque wrench. Nice and sturdy! 1/4 stuff breaks too easily when working on old or under maintained cars!

B12 comes with b6 I believe. B8 if you go for a 50mm b12 kits made for other cars.

I've just gone sim only. Had a Galaxy S3 that I'm happy with that was costing me about £38 per month for 1GB, 1000 mins and unlimited texts, threatened to leave and now have 4GB, unlimited calls and unlimited texts for under £18. Yeah same old phone but the new phones are huge and I don't feel precious about an old one like maybe I would on a nice shiny version. Quite liberating to be honest!

Nice car. One of my favourite. Have you had the chance to scan it for faults? Maybe a few hundred quid spent with a reputable auto electrician might be well spent to diagnose any current or potential problems. But as before, lovely car.
