  1. http://www.venommotorsport.com/product_details.php?id=24274&manufacturer=Koni&category=Suspension Are these what you had Bill?
  2. Ahhh! I'm guilty! A little from column A and a little from Column B! I've had enough and I'm approaching the useful 12 year point. Things are just not the same, but I won't lecture on on an open forum, I'm sure you are aware of the current climate. Thanks for the link, I'll try and avoid the credit card best I can with this project but it's nice to know in a moment of weakness!
  3. Have a look at the beginning of this thread for a picture of my old car btw!
  4. I'm not sure on when I will get it back on the road. I'm currently aiming to have it roadworthy by the spring and hopefully make it to a few shows next summer. Paint won't happen for a couple of years though, I'm leaving the RAF in 18 months time and need to dedicate myself to that before I spend on the rado. It would be nice if I could get it into my garage for the winter, but the garage is full of crap so I need to work on that! I'm thinking of the Weitec range at the moment or some good springs and shocks with a 40mm drop. Not sure yet. I loved having the KW v1's on my last rado, but new, they are over £800 now, which I would struggle to justify for now! I'm off on holiday soon with the wife, so that needs my attention as well first! I had the RX228's on my last Rado, wonderful wheels. I got my last set cheap from some classifieds somewhere and then refurbed them.
  5. I'm on it Bill! They are off now and stored somewhere safe!
  6. Something arrived in the post for me earlier! Test fitted them earlier to see how they sat. I definitely need to sort out the suspension, but I could do with actually getting the car back on the road first! They have now been removed and put somewhere very safe and secure whilst I sort the rest of the car out!

    Goodbye

    I had a 911 and a Elise and I still came back!
  8. It's down to water temp. There is a blue temp sender on the coolant manifold which tells the ecu when the engine is up to temp.
  9. If it fitted better, I'm sure it would be the way to go!
  10. Same here, 10 mins with a dremel well spent! It now slides in and out freely!
  11. When you do find out, share the love here please! :-)
  12. I used the mk3 setup in mine, just cut the ball of the servo where it connects to the pedal and run a die down the remaining shaft and transfer the fork across from the Corrado setup to connect up to the brake pedal. I'm not sure how the passat setup connects to the pedal.
  13. Yes - Late B4 passat, Circa 96/97 Yes - The ABS ECU is part of the pump assembly Yes - Plugs straight in. Cheers :)
  14. If only I hadn't spent a small fortune on some wheels!
  15. Bought some new wheels for the old girl! Need some suspension sorting out first though!
  16. Technically it's 2 parts, there is a stub axle which the wheel and brake assembly itself sit on and the that is bolted to the rear beam. Stub axles bend a lot easier than the beam but to me, I'd say your beam is bent as well in that picture. Look under the car forward of the wheel and look for where the beam bolts to the underside of the car. Make sure it's intact and not bent as well. Get a photo up of behind the wheel if you can.
  17. With enough time and skill anything can fit! I've seen a r36 in a caddy! But that's not a helpful comment. I'm sure they don't bolt straight in though, subframes are radically different and require custom mounts.
  18. My last rado was K***GEW! VR6 though. Looks good!
  19. I knew what happened if you drove or reversed into Halfords. Now I know what it's like to slide sideways into said store!
  20. Exactly why I fitted my climate too! Oh and whinge moment here: Call me pedantic if you will, but these cables are technically teleflex cables. Despite what wikipedia says, bowden cables are pull only and rely on a spring (normally) to return the cable to it's original position - like on a push bike or throttle cable. Teleflex cables are push/pull and have rigid steel cables instead of flexible cables. I fix aircraft for a living and things being called the wrong thing get on my wick! Bit like their, there and they're mistakes to me! End of rant! Return to normal service!
