  1. Always nice when it's a fairly straightforward and cheap fix!
  2. Pump the pedal until it goes hard, that will remove any vacuum pressure that is there. That switch has been there for possibly 20 years, it's going to be happy where it is!
  3. I am using tapatalk4 and all is well.
  4. They should really be repairing that FOC as they have shown total incompetence! Name, shame and avoid! If the bolts have gone too far through the hub then it will have damaged the hub carrier and the noise would be the bolts on the hub carrier grinding away at the carrier itself. I wouldn't recommend using the carrier again if I were you either as it could be dangerously damaged. Get the wheel off, post a picture and we can tell you for sure what's up and what is down!
  5. I'm concerned that if I pitch up to a show with the red badges that my car came with will be nicked so that some scumbag can make a quick buck!
  6. I'm lead to believe that the ecu monitors the clutch switch if there hasn't been any input for a specific amount of time then it assumes it's not working and adjusts the map accordingly. You can code the ecu with vcds to tell it that it has an auto box fitted, it wouldn't look for a clutch switch. Not sure what the knock on effect is though.
  7. You and me both pal! :-) 50 quid posted and it's yours.
  8. Cheers Tom! I've found a passat loom, now just to find the light!
  9. No Sorry, that's quite bit lower than I would like. There are a few on eBay for over £100 delivered and a broken set for over £50. I'm not going for the "eBay rare" tax on my price. Cheers
  10. May be an idea to change the fuse anyway. You can get hairline cracks in fuses that you can't always see. Do you get any voltage at the fan plug?
  11. Sounds good. I should have been clearer though. There are no ABS sensors. I'm sorry for not being clearer earlier. If you are happy with this, then you've got a deal.
  12. A bit more of an update! I have got my rear beam back and now i'm waiting on a few clips before I start to rebuild it and get it back on her wheels! I've also decided to junk the old heater and fan setup as I found the fan resistor had failed and that the teleflex cables had worn causing restriction in the controls themselves. Knowing that it could prematurely kill my controls which are in perfect knick otherwise bothered me and instead of fitting some new cables for the cost of about £40 and sourcing a new resistor for the fan, I decided to do this: Any ideas what it is?! How about this for another clue?! I decided that since I could go to the cost of fixing the few things and still have weak controls and an asthmatic fan or I could fit the Climatic system instead which doesn't have either of those problems, with the plus of being able to fit aircon in the future if I wanted! Now all I need are the 2 electrical plugs to power and control the system properly, the 17 and 10 pin version if anyone can help?! I have also ripped out the ENTIRE ABS system! That loom is routed everywhere! I've got a full mk3 system minus an ABS light and loom that I need to source from a late B4, again if anyone can help! I've already modified the mk3 servo to pedal linkage to work with the Corrado pedal. I just need to modify the ABS pump bracket so that I can fit it and then simply fit the rest of the system!
  13. I now have the FULL loom available for offers!
  14. I think I added my name a few months ago but it's not on the list?
  15. Arduous conditions?! Give me a break, it's a British summers day! Try working in Afghanistan in that heat, then you'll know arduous!
  16. I have a set of front hubs for sale in the classifieds in my garage clear out thread.
  17. Yes, the only fault on the entire system is the rear left abs sensor which I'm not selling. Everything else works perfectly!
  18. On the hunt right now! I'm in no huge rush at the moment, it's unlikely the car will be anywhere near the road in the next 4 or 5 months!
