  1. How often do K+Ns need oiling and do you give em a wash at the same time? I've had one in mine since I got it last summer and never done anything to it... Doesn't look that bad though
  2. I'm a bit concerned about my Glader for a couple of reasons- 1. Using the MFA boost check I'm getting max reading of 1650, and I'm running a 68mm pulley with an RSR outlet. I've checked for boost leaks and there's nothing obvious but not been over it with the fairy liquid etc. yet. 2. There is oil in the boost pipes- it's not loads, but more than a 'misting'. If I take the pipe off by the intercooler, it doesn't pour out but it's fairly well coated on the inside and gets all over my hands. It was serviced at Jabba about 7,000 miles ago. What concerns me is that 6 months ago I was getting 1950 on MFA and I had the old baffle box on then! Does this sound like I've got imminent charger popping? What else could it be?
  3. Had mine fitted tonight by KUR2Y, thanks for your patience! Amazing difference on way home, thanks again mate!
  4. That dog is insane, he took a shine to my boots while I was down there last month even though he had his own pair of trainers to chew! Came home with a mint G60 but needed new shoes!
  5. Sure, no rush, just wanted to make sure you were still ok with cash on collection. Looking forward to being able to see where that G-lader is trying to throw me!
  6. I'm sure you haven't but don't forget me mate! Just say the word and I'll nip over with the cash.
  7. Mine's stopped working in last few days. Which fuse does it run off as it's not marked on the list on inside of fusebox?
  8. What a crap day... Oil filter still hasn't arrived from AVS so I couldn't do that. Got all set up for coolant change, got the clamp off with mole grips but couldn't get the hose off. Tried pulling it, and prizing at it with a screwdriver but I think the pipe would have split before it moved. Is this the right pipe? On passenger side near cross member. 000_0307.jpg[/attachment:14yhueph] Sorry to go OT but I've also noticed the PAS fluid isn't green as it should be  Can this be bled out in the same way as coolant? From hose with clamp at front on the drivers side? And will this need 'flushing' or will traces of the other type of PAS fluid be ok once it's topped up with proper stuff?
  9. Managed to get some G12+ from dealers now, bloody expensive! Thanks for info
  10. I take your point junkie, I'm starting to find a few cowboy jobs on it now I've found my way round my first Rado and owned it a few months, so I doubt it's been cared for as it should have been. The Halfords stuff has does have anti-corrosion agent in it, and I'll be changing it before 2 years! If I can pick some G12+ up in the next few days I'll use that, otherwise I'll use Halfords stuff this time round. Time to get the hose out and see what horrors await me in the radiator!!! Cheers for advice folks.
  11. Happy NY everyone. Just about to do some much needed jobs on my G60- oil change and coolant flush. Just wanted to check if the coolant type really matters? I've got some Halfords blue stuff for 'all cars before 1998' but I've heard some say pink stuff is better? Wanted to do the oil change before I get the Mocal fitted at G-werks next week as I hear it's a bit of pig once it's on. Was going to have some headwork done too but my manifold is blowing like a steam train at the moment so I'll have to see how costly that is 1st! :(
  12. Thanks, I always appreciate offers of local help. I'll keep my eye out for you in Kidde, I'm sure I won't miss a C as tidy as that :) I did some temp work at Sealine a few years ago, seems like they work you lot pretty hard! Sod them £2million boats, I bet it's more fun working on the rado 8)
  13. Super-G, I think I'll keep the de-cat in case I want to swap it back one day. Not sure you'de want it anyway, they had to chop the ends off to get it out! Only a few days since the MOT and I've got a horrid clicking noise coming from under engine- turns out a gasket has gone on the manifold :( so another £130ish setback...
  14. I'm in no rush either, just appreciate having them at all!
  15. Wow thanks mate I appreciate that. Promise to only ask if I'm desperate! (ie I've used the search bar...)
  16. It's all being done at the garage now but I'll ask them for the decat. I don't know how far it was out of the test tbh. Could do with the cat conv for future tests anyway I guess even if it means borrowing some trolley jacks (squish! ) and taking it on and off once a year. Thanks for the comments I do try to keep it shiny, that IS within my capabilities!
  17. So it only failed the MOT on emissions cos the prev owner had removed the cat converter :brickwall: DOH! New one being fitted and retested tomorrow... Is this gonna be easy to take out in between MOTs? Or does it depend on the exhaust system?
  18. They really are unstoppable, the lad driving it felt a 'little bump' and saw the Astra spinning in circles in his mirror. I've had some people do crazy things to get past me when I've been driving it. An artic lorry crawled past me on a blind bend on a 60 limit road only the other day. Just be f*****g patient! I wouldn't mind but I try to pull in regularly to let people past!
  19. I just found these pics from last year. Some rep prat in an Astra decided to overtake our work tractor, while the tractor was indicating... and turning right... The lad driving the tractor checked his mirror before he turned but the astra was going so fast he didn't see it. It hit the loader and the front wheel and amazingly the driver walked away from it. Bit of a difference between the 2 vehicles in the 'after' picture! Don't mess with tractors!
  20. Nothing obvious been changed and no extra wires on battery, so put me down for a 3 relay loom please.
  21. Cheers Critical_Mass, I'll have a gander tomorrow. There's 'HID look' bulbs in there at the moment and they're not that bright so I'd guess there isn't an uprated loom. Is there anyway to uprate the other circuits? I only ask cos I had a wicked airhorn on my Golf and when I tried it on the C it sounded like a cat farting...
  22. Think I want one too! But a quick question first. Sorry to sound stupid but how do i know if there's one already put in? :? Anything obvious or would i need to test volts? Don't know where to start with electrics, but heh I'm a biologist so it's not usually my problem!
  23. I'm in Shrewsbury and a lot in Bewdley too, near Kidderminster, Dark blue G60 and no major issues yet... MOT on Monday
  24. Do you really need to cut a hole in the bottom of the box to feed a cold air intake in? I've put mine in the normal intake and bent it round under the airbox and through the hole where the CC was. So long as the flexi hose isn't much more that 10cm diameter it squeezes in between the headlight ok. Saves butchering the box.
  25. Hi, been posting the odd thing on here for a while but don't think this forum was here when I joined. Got my G60 in the summer from St Albans. It has a 'Corrado Club of Great Britain' sticker in the back so maybe somebody on here has owned it before? My mate bought a G40 and I was seriously impressed by it, so figured why not get its bigger, better looking relative? His G40 lasted a week, written off by a ground anchor for a set of gates at work sitting too high, of all things! RIP. It's had the charger re-furbed recently at Jabba (eek!), 70mm pulley, scorpion exhaust and TSW wheels. Just got a nice pay rise  so might be taking it to G-werks after xmas for some treats- 68/65mm pulley, toothed belt drive, oil cooler, intercooler, CNC head and ECU remap. It's got it's MOT next week so I'll see how that goes before I get too excited! I work and live in Shrewsbury at the moment but I spend a lot of weekends in Bewdley/Kidderminster. I'm pretty new to Cs and only been driving 3 years! So expect to see me asking loads stupid questions in the future!
