  1. they are a bugger to get out, I think I used a tie wrap the last time. You will see once you have the cloth off.
  2. Andi, You have put together an excellent post there, I would really like to see what you have proposed put into action (I speak as a past commitee member of the CCGB). Cheers Andy
  3. My mate has one, driven it a couple of times and been a passenger a fair few times. What do I think of it.....not totally sure, pretty quick.....but it is a heavy beast and I think the VR would stay pretty level. Like the looks apart from the rear (bit fat). The wheels look to small (18's as standard!!!). Interior is ok, not that bad. Like it being rear wheel drive, wish the C was sometimes. But overall would rather have my VR and the spare 20k! though I will prob spend that in a couple of years of C ownership!
  4. How many Satin Silvers are there! I think they must be breeding!!!
  5. looks like my tmax rc car........very silly
  6. Do it woody! Popped round to see James Renshaw last night, had a look at his project. If I had the chance of a complete cupra i'd do the same as james is doing....ie transfer everything electrical and dash etc to go with the new engine. Its going to be very neat.
  7. you lucky bugger!!! what a nice suprise!
  8. Amazing the difference from the rusting bits that you dropped off. Couldnt believe how good my bits looked. PS, I've got the right collection of big washers, studding etc needed to get all those bushes in if you need them. The front cross member bushes are a bugger.
  9. Welcome Dennis...... you are the man on how to's on the CCC, have helped many times with things. Thanks.
  10. I've had a supersprint, milltek and a magnex over the years on different Corrado's. Magnex was the first on my G60, fit was spot on, but found it too noisy, and the middle box fell apart within 6 months (replaced on warranty). Replaced it with a supersprint. So supersprint. The rear exhaust hanger was a really crap design, never got it to sit right, made a lovely noise though, just a shame it hit the axel most of the time! Sold this car to Nigel Brookes (G60JET) and believe the centre pipe gave way on this in its second year of life (again replaced on warranty). Next up Milltek, bought second had so an early system. Fit was a bit of a pig but sits nicely now with no banging what so ever, sounds lovely. No probs so far. So conclusions from me. On the whole exhausts are a pain in the butt full stop. Every system seems to have fault in my experience! Which is the best...... Not sure I can answer that question!
  11. I use stuff that halfords sell, its not the waxoil one, but one made by someone else. Seems to be a better product as it gives a better coverage than waxoil (tends to be a bit oily) which comes off fairly easy.
  12. I spray mine with cavity wax during the winter months to stop the salt attacking them. Seems to work well and is easy to clean off with the pressure washer when you need to adjust.
  13. yep, and I have a set, excellent quality and good price with the dollar as it is.
  14. what was that kev?? Very pleased with my milltek. Also fitted one to a friends VR the other week and he is pleased too.
  15. http://www.corrado-club.ca/ubb/ultimate ... 4;t=000142 Have a look at this.........
  16. Mines free'd off again today, so still none the wiser on wether its the cable of caliper. The handbrake is staying off over night!
  17. Can be either the cable or the caliper....not sure which is my prob. As I havent had the time to investigate as yet. And it free'd itself off last time. Didnt have a locked wheel this time (did last time) but there was lots of smoke coming off the pad after less than a half mile!
  18. Mine froze this morning, so left the C at home to look at tonight. I had it happen a couple of months back and it free'd itself off durning the day, hope it does the same today! Got a pair of Mk4 calipers ready to go on, so must do that soon.
  19. could be kev...i'll take more notice of the noise next time. It always seems to make it as i get to the end of my road a few seconds after releasing the clutch. Just a coincidence I guess.
  20. I asked for price and if they were avaliable just a couple of months ago....they said yes.
  21. should fit, the only thing I would check is the bore to be sure. May be a bit noisy though, as scorpion's have a rep for noise
