Been wondering if my 205 tyres will fit 8 inch rims, the only info I have found is.... Wheel & Tyre Widths Wheel Thinnest Widest Width Tyre Tyre 5" 175 195 5.5" 195 205 6" 195 225 6.5" 195 235 7" 195 245 7.5" 195 245 8" 205 255 8.5" 215 255 9" 225 275 9.5" 235 285 10" 255 295 Is the above info good? Looks like my 205's will fit the 8's at a stretch! Cheers Andy

Andy Brookes replied to PhatVR6's topic in General Car Chat
Tony Carter-Ingrams (Not to sure on the second part of the surname) car. He did lots of track days. That car was a bargain at the time. -
thanks for the quick replies, mucho appretiated. They work really well with the C's lines I feel, sharp yet rounded...... Havent seen any on a C before.
-

-

It is indeed Ben....yeah you were getting the 3rd degree from my mate that whats to drop a 20VT into his G60. Think he's found an engine. Taking to Paul the other day (Georges best mate, building a syncro G60) and he said you were down this way now and again. I'll be up for beers next time you all meet up.

ps....remember to block off the washer pipe!! I did this at the washer bottle end with an M6 bolt and a zip tie.

Hi All, The wheels that came with my C are not really to my taste. Been looking for some replacements and found these as a possible.....what do you think???
-
I'll be testing the theory once my lights get here from there long lost travels from Spain........they will get here one day! Spanish post hey Nigel.
-
took mine off too, looks so much better without it. Top tip..... remove the bracket from the wiper motor, dont try and get the bracket and motor out as one piece as it takes a lot a swearing if they are still together.

Shrek Manifold ! Throttle body gas flow! LPG Corrado VR6
Andy Brookes replied to Johnboy98's topic in Engine Bay
How do you find the LPG??? -
that thing must weigh a ton.....how much filler!!!!! havent seen anything as bad as that since my 1980 fiat strada.
-
The steering rack was replaced on my car due to dodgy steering, but in the end it was found to be the lower ball joints. So that proves the theory further. Cheers Andy

Its a s**t of a job, I think it took me about an hour, but a lot of sweat! Henny has managed to do it without removing the shear bolts, I had a go, but didnt have a suitable screwdriver or enough patience to complete. So it was out with the drill and grinder etc etc to remove the bolts. Remember the have the key in the barrel when you finally get the bolts out, I forgot and wondered why the barrel would'nt come off.....doh! Good luck

are those new calipers for that cash ben??? top deal if it is!!!

Some belated Inters pics of the corrado variety for you all
Andy Brookes replied to GsixT's topic in General Car Chat
keskin's I think, not 100% on that though. -
they go though the standard clusters fine. Inpro's need a mm shaved off with the drimel. Andy

I bought a load of bulb replacements at Inters, but have decided to stick with standard filiment bulbs now as I didnt have the heart to break the orange part out of my brand new indicators. I have 4 Indicator bulbs and 2 stop and tail bulbs. They were changing £15 a pop at inters, yours for £60 the lot. They are the 24 LED type with back illumination to light up the reflectors of the lamps. Cheers Andy

Some belated Inters pics of the corrado variety for you all
Andy Brookes replied to GsixT's topic in General Car Chat
Hi G SIX T, Thats me motor in the first pic, be great if you could send me a high res one.....to mailto:[email protected]. Cheers very muchly. Andy -
just pop a wheel on and if it just fits on with no movement around the hub, your fine.
-
Unless the bores are the correct diameter already? 57.5mm seems to ring a bell, i'm someone can either put me right or agree. Just make sure they fit on nice and snug.
-
you could die without them on!!!! Sorry a bit dramatic, but its no far from the truth. The centre bore of the wheel should be correct of adjusted with centering rings otherwise the wheels will be free to move around under the wheel bolts. Resulting in wheel nuts lossening, wheels falling of................... So best make sure the centre bore of the wheel matches the outer diameter of the hub centre.
