  1. Et 30 would be fine for backs I have run ET 27 too without issues. Was thinking ET35 up front and ET 30 rears but want to keep it simple so its more likely to be ET35 all round
  2. Thanks, I anticipate that they will be on most of the time. My 301s are 18 years old and still in the factory lacquered finish which is very unusual ( this side of Bill Aitkins car which I originally sourced) I don't want to lose that finish so they will be kept primarily for shows
  3. Hi Tom, Good to meet you. I recognised the qualty of the cars in the line up and saw it as a unique opportunity to get some structured feedback as the Silver Automatic Corrado VR6 Ian Straughton? superb condition 15,000 mile car is a regular winner there. :notworthy: I hoped being in the same class would prompt specific feedback from the judge having seen Ians car as to particular areas I might pay attention to on mine. Alas I still know what I knew to start with, that my car isn't as clean as a 15,000 mile example
  4. Perhaps not, but I love it. Thanks for the love, much appreciated
  5. Yeh one order one time offer, single orders for sets of wheels outside this group buy will revert to full price of c £1000 too good to miss even if kept for a while
  6. VW Festival Harewood House
  7. Please keep contact directed through James I want everyone to confirm on here first then we can each contact James to confirm and specify our requirements, as stated without a confirmation and deposit by all 9 buyers we won't secure the discount
  8. Great news succesfully negotiated the full discount for the 9 members who have confirmed so we can now make this happen if Dukest is happy to be 9 of 9 rather than 10 of 10. This means they will be 10% rarer on a Corrado perhaps LOL Please find attached from James at Compomotive price delivered inc VAT is very good at £628.23 That’s great news. We would happy to proceed with the 9 wheel sets , you may be pleased to know that we have actually already commenced production of the new wheel and hope to have the blank casts through by the end of the week . On a conventional new order typical turnaround would be 20-21 days approx. You understand however that there may be a little delay in production whilst we assemble everyone details and sort payments etc as I am only authorized to proceed once the nine sets or higher have been confirmed with deposits paid. It would be best I think if the Corrado folks can contact me this week either via this email or our sales line 01902 311499 quoting the Corrado forum group buy offer, so I can implement the discount and sort out fitment details etc. We would ask for a 50% deposit in order to allocate the individual a set of wheels with the remaining balance payable upon order completion. Payment can be made via credit/debit card, chq* or bank transfer. I have listed the individual Corrado prices below : Corrado group buy cost X4 MO1783 8x17 fitments to be confirmed £628.63 Price includes VAT and UK mainland carriage. Please note that any special colour options will be at extra charge and that if payment is made by chq that goods will not be dispatched until payment has cleared. Can we all please reconfirm in order that we can then commence ordering
  9. Any excuse to show Zaks stunning car, to help demonstrate how wheel moves in arch when lowered
  10. Can anyone confirm the MK2 rear badge will definately fit a Corrado OK (what is the difference is it just the rubber?), I know the item was posted as an example but I have heard they fit OK and with the Corrado item being unavailable..
  11. OSV

    FLASH RED VR6

Certainly a nice looking example :)
  12. As you lower the car the wheel swings forward in the arch, these move the wheel further back in the arch by moving the axle mounting point. so that on a lowered car the wheel will be centred. The car must be lowered for them to work

  14. I'll leave it until early next week and see where we are then, i'm sure we would get a reduced price with less than 10 confirmed but inevitably it is likely to be less generous. With any price increase i'm sure we'd loose people, the closer we are to 10 the more chance of preserving the price.
  15. silver, grey, black, white and gold. Other colours to order plus £10 per rim
  16. Andy just get a new Automotive replacement you'll be fine, these are an OE supplier http://www.varta-automotive.com/index.php?id=100
  17. With these wheels you should be fine without any spacers and still be able to run an ET35 and easily accomodate 312mm brakes even with the Porsche calipers check out the diagram. E-Mail compomotive if you need true confirmation
  18. Not really a great wheel for a Corrado Storm, I think you will cheapen the car. How about the group buy for Compomotives or perhaps, C5 OEMs BBS RX2s in the classifieds
  19. Why not join me and Butler for a run across the A59 on Sunday to VW Festival?
  20. Thanks for helping to wipe it over again at VWNorthwest Tatton Park today Andy, again someone can take a better pic than me :salute:
  21. Get me using the search and resurrecting a thread. Does anyone know the answers to the following. Thanks in advance :) a When upgrading to the 288mm discs can you retain the original splash guards b What is the weight difference between 288mm and 312mm discs c Has there been any proven difference in braking performance between 288mm and 312mm discs
  22. Nice picture of a Corrado derived trailer from last weekends Detailed bash
  23. and should get money back from sale of your remaining intact units to help minimise the cost
  24. VW Northwest also known as Tatton Park, great broad appeal show.
  25. Think they are the main UK supplier even traders get them through Amber
