Hi Kip, Is that running 15" wheels? 195 x 50 tyres? Do you find the rpm to be excessive at 70? I have an have an 02j FBK gearbox from a golf 2.3ltr V5. I'm planning to run 195 / 45 / 15's on my car and looking at the gear ratios would do 3500rpm at 70mph! The ratios are: Final drive ratio: 3.938 1st: 3.300 2nd: 1.944 3rd: 1.360 4th: 1.034 5th: 0.816 I'm wondering if anyone runs this box with an R32 and changed the 5th gear out to a better ratio?

How do you guys find the 12v VR6 gearbox with the R32 engine? What kind of RPM are you getting at 70mph in 5th gear and what size wheels are you running? cheers

The car previously had a g60 conversion and the rev signal was taken off the coil. I believe I can fit a mk3 diesel alternator with w+ terminal to sort out revs. This was using stock mk1 clocks. The odometer / speedo is cable driven out of the gearbox where the speed sensor would go. I'm using a V5 gearbox for better ratios :) Do you know who can code out the vss? Cheers

Hi Sam, do you have a mk4 R32 conversion?

I have a mk5 r32 engine I'm planning to put in a Mk1 Golf, how have you guys managed to get a vehicle speed sensor(VSS) feed? In the later ecu's it is handled by the abs module via canbus? Any help would be much appreciated. Can this be coded out to remove the rev restriction and error codes? from a fellow Corrado owner :D

g60 fuel pump running constantly when ignition first turned on
RichG60 replied to RichG60's topic in Engine Bay
Great news this has been fixed. The ignition feeds from the relays and pin 1 on the ecu were fed a constant live feed. I wired ecu pin 1 to cranking power and the relays to constant live and it now primes properly :) -

Hi Tempest, I don't actually have the after run switch installed. Could this be it? -
g60 fuel pump running constantly when ignition first turned on
RichG60 replied to RichG60's topic in Engine Bay
Hi Rich thanks for your response. I have a Bosch 044 pump that is running well. I was told that a timer in the ECU runs the pump for a few seconds then stops. Can someone clarify this? Thanks Rich -
I've just finished installing a g60 engine in to my mk1 golf from a corrado using a 25 pin digifant 2 ECU that came with the engine. All earth's are brand new with oversized wire and in the correct factory positions as per a corrado g60. I have the car running and timed up and its sweet as nut apart from one thing that is bothering me. The fuel pump doesn't stop priming when the ignition is in the first position. I have checked pin3 on the ECU connector to the fuel pump relay and its not shorting and also replaced the relay but have the same problem. Has anyone experienced this? Is this a sign of a dodgy ECU? The ECU has an sns chip I've fitted but everything is working fine as it should so baffled about this. Any experience on this sort of issue would be much appreciated. Cheers Rich

Thanks but already watched that and now finished :) replaced all connectors with new ones. The ECU connector was the last one :)

Thanks for the explanation but figured it out now. There is a kind of secondary lock on the connector. The part where the pins fit is 2 piece. There are some locking tabs which I gently opened and ever so slightly slide side ways put the release tool in and they popped out straight away and did the whole connector in a few minutes.

I'm trying to remove all pins from a digifant g60 25 pin ECU connector. I have the proper vw tool for this but they won't budge. Is there a special way to do this, a secondary lock I've missed or a special chant before I attempt it as this is a mystery. Cheers Rich

Hi I'm after a 25pin Corrado G60 engine loom with decent connectors. Tell me what you have. Cheers Rich

I fitted the new style bolt at the weekend but thought the new type was a non stretch bolt??? I thread locked it and torqued it to 90nm. I see someone says 90nm oiled and quarter of a turn. Which is the correct procedure?

Hi buddy what part number am I looking for? Is it safe to do this?

Hi guys, I'm in the process of cleaning up a G60 engine from a Corrado to fit in my Mk1 Golf and notice that the crank v belt pulley and vibration damper are pretty rusted up. I want to replace them with new parts but the damper is discontinued and there are 2 part numbers for the v belt pulley 037105255A ribbed belt pulley / F >> 50-L-015 902* 037105255 ribbed belt pulley / F 50-L-015 903>>* VW are telling me 037105255 was discontinued in April this year. 037105255A is available but I'm not sure what the difference is between the 2. What options do I have? Cheers Rich

Hi buddy, unfortunately I bought a 20v turbo engine yesterday, spur of the moment kind of thing. I would however be interested in a 02a gearbox and fly wheel if you have one. how much would you like for both items individually? I only live in tiverton so not that far away plus pop in to Exeter all the time. cheers Rich

Hi guys, I'm after a complete G60 engine, gearbox, supercharger, loom and ancilliaries for a conversion. Engine and supercharger must be in good working order. Im based in Devon so near by would be preferable but would travel a bit for the right one. Cheers Rich
