    Corrado 20v turbo

Hi guys, Looking for a Corrado 20v turbo (BAM or 225bhp varient) in amazing condition, no rust, amazing paint and low mileage. I have a 5k budget. Tell me what you have. Cheers Rich
  2. Sorted :) The wiring was fine but the switch had a worn out earth track, it looks like one of the movement balls had worn through it! bit of solder and bobs your uncle, have illumination and full movement!
  3. Oh and a few of the colours in that guide don't match up. There's no brown and yellow or brown and black.
  4. The mirrors definitely work, they were wired off early switch And working then wired to late and not working then wired back to early and working again. The main thing is whether the old loom is ok to wire the new 8 pin connector on.
  5. I have only got round to swapping over the mirror switch to my late one. I'm selling the car on Sunday! I have a late complete loom with the eight pin connector and the 2 three pin connectors. Am I right in thinking I need to cut the late loom off at the 8 pin conector and then connect that to the earlier loom where the early 6 pin connector was? I have the wiring guide and did this but I could hear the motors working on up and down motion but nothing was moving. This can only lead me to think that the switch is broken. What do you think? Rich
  6. Anybody got any good sources?
  7. Wow where did you source that!?!
  8. What's the ball park figure for a low mileage motor? I'm looking for mileage around 50k or lower. Complete engine without gearbox, loom and ecu, intercooler, radiator etc.
  9. Now I just need to find an engine with resonable miles with all the ancilliaries I need. how did you guys source your engines? Cheers
  10. Ok chaps I have big plans for J491 GCD. I'm about to remove the G60 engine and look for a 1.8t. When I start this I will document it as I go along with lots of pics :) Now I have a few questions. How can I identify if I have an early / late ecu wiring loom. I believe the car is an early version but retro fitted with later interior. The root I was planning to take was either source AGU (150bhp) / AUQ (180bhp) engine types, ensure I source a K03s turbo if AGU. Run Qpeng loom and ecu. or Source same engines but build custom loom and use emerald ecu for custom map. Obviously would be trickier as the car would need to be carted to the tuning garage. Choices, choices  I would be aiming for 240bhp but does anybody know roughly the kind of torque these conversions make with a K03s? Also other conversion ideas would be useful using the 1.8t :) Thanks Rich
  11. My car has started to develop bubbles at the end of the drivers side arch section and I'm desperate for another arch to weld in and do the job properly. Does any one know if the early rear arches are different to the late ones? If anyone has an arch that's not rusty and willing to cut it off for me I would be extremely grateful. Cheers Rich
  12. Hi Tim did you get yours done at the Plymouth Longlife? I had them make up one for me last year, the quality is outstanding. I asked them to make it as quiet as possible and it is! Now all the sound is coming from the engine and charger :). Comes with a lifetime warranty which can be transferred to a new owner. Can't get any better than that! the Miltek system it had on before was terrible!
  13. Thanks mate, tell me what you want price wise and I will fire it over.
  14. Thanks for the offer mate, its the black and yellow stuff though for the inlet manifold to the ecu boost sensor that has to be 1 metre long. The part number is N 020 290 3.
  15. Ok thought I'd order up a few parts yesterday which included new vacuum hose as the old one was looking tatty. I phoned up and the gentleman said sorry we can't do a metre it has to come as a 5 metre roll. I thought fine how much? They said £25 which I thought was a bit dear anyway proceeded with the order. Just a second ago I received a phone call saying my other parts had arrived but not he hose as there was a problem, instead of the price of 25 pounds for 5 metres they said no it's £25 per metre! So a minimum order of £125! This can't be right!?!? Are they taking the Mick!
  16. Sorry to blind you with science but your stealth shelf is up to the job. You would need to run the P69's off an amp, they are rated at 125rms each. Some monoblock sub amps come with a subsonic filter to stop the speakers receiving frequencies lower than they can handle.
  17. With regards to the wires you just need to neatly secure them up to the edge of the shelf using something like this and fit a quick release connector like this to the end :-
  18. The 6x9's he is referring to are not full range they are intended as subs (frequency range 35Hz - 500Hz). I had a set in my Corrado as a fill in before fitting my 12 inch genesis Audiophile sub in a custom enclosure. If you plan to use these you will need a sturdy stealth shealth and a good seal between the boot and cabin. These are infinite baffle drivers so you will require a subsonic filter so they don't get over excursion on the low notes. Don't expect wobbly lows from these, you will get a nice musical sound plus plenty of kick.
  19. Catch tank :) I have searched the forum but can't find any examples. Surely someone must have done this?
  20. Hi guys, I want to quieten down the bottom of the throttle body where the orginal boost return attached too, the fuel fumes are also too much in the morning to cope with :) Could anyone see any problems with me attaching a pipe to extend this outlet to another position other than in front of the bulk head? If this is OK how wide is the throttle outlet so I can get the right size pipe? Cheers Rich
  21. Does anyone know how long Gwerks normally take to rebuild a charger? I haven't heard from them yet, phoned them to find out progress on Thursday afternoon & was told they were opening it & would contact me. Next week will be the 2nd week its been with them.
  22. And finally stage 2 complete and to be installed tomorrow :-
  23. Not sure who I spoke to at G Werks, was told to expect a phone call today but nothing yet. The car has gone to a good home :) and gets plenty of pampering! Got big plans once I eventually move house and get a good sized garage ;)
