early may hopefully, there is 5 or 6 lads working on it. i will be regularly checking how the car is progressing. there isn't many corrados around here so when i left it at the body shop everyone just stood there staring at it. the helicopter they were giving a full re-spray was getting no attention  its nice to see even in the state its in it still draws a crowd
-
im going to be putting a set on my corrado, that report just sealed the deal, now i have to get them.
-
it depends on how old the respray, paint takes 3 to 4 months to dry. after that if you can still mark it with your nail somthing is wrong. any resprays ive seen have been just as hard as the factory, that said they are all top quality jobs.
-
got the front windscreen taken out and then i finished off the inside off to paint
-
i decided to get some porsche calipers for the front aswell so now i have four, my big front ones arrived today.
-
its a vw color but not a standard corrado one, its the best finish if seen from a gun, smooth as glass :D its brown/bronze color in real life, not as grey, its one of those colors you cant take a pic of. i hope it will show up better on the shell, i might play with the settings on the camera to see if it will pick it up better
-
well it dosent matter because they are getting painted, the rear one already has :) a new one would have to be painted aswell? so i cant see why you would pay £400 for a bumper that will look exactly the same. £20!! now thats what i call a bargin
-
finish priming the inside, get the rest of the paint off the tail gate and hopefully get one step closer to paint :)
-
who in their right mind would buy a new one whens theres plenty of very good second hand ones for sale, i got a front and back bumper in perfect condition for £80 :D
-
it was done by a friend of the family who owns a body shop about half a mile from my house. its professionally done and they used sikkens paint. not cheap tho, 290 for 5 liters of it
-
happy B) hard to see the color, have to see it in real life, it looks different, less grey
-
yes i really am 16 ive been helping my dad restore his cars since i was about 8, everything else such as body work i learned on my own. i look at somthing, decide what i think is the best way to do it and get it done. my brother is a bmw technician so he is there if i need advice. nothing in this project is complicated, its all fairly straight forward. the only thing i can see getting complicated is my brake setup.
-
brakes are not that exspensive. my setup 3.2s boxster calipers £200 (brand new) :D caliper brackets £100 seat ibiza cupra r discs 305mm £200 afaik and throw in £100 for odds and ends £600 all in :D
-
well by the time its finished (a long long way away) it should be ok to insure and a have somthing sorted so ill be ok. looking forward to getting the bumper back wednesday to see the color :D

a bmw 535d intercooler fits nice. its bar and plate and its quite big plus it is all alloy 8)
-
well i dont want to expect too much. if i got 300bhp i would be over the moon
-
its got a garrett t28 and im hoping for around 290bhp ish but i dont want to expect too much
-
it could be, the year is right for the box code, theres alot of different codes so i wouldnt be sure. that gearing would be perfect for your corrado, nice even jumps in speed :D
-
the box fits straight in. all you have to do is get some 100mm flanges (i think i got mine from an abf box, not sure) and you can use the corrado drive shafts. you just need to fit the mk4 shifter which is not a big job.
-
id stick in a 02j box. thats what im using in my corrado (its the box that came with the engine). 02j evs EVS= Same ratios as MK3 16v CDA 02A. 3.30 1.94 1.31 1.03 and 0.84 FD 3.68 1st Gear = 41.58 mph 2nd Gear = 70.74 mph 3rd Gear = 104.76 mph 4th Gear = 133.24 mph 5th Gear = 163.37 mph it has nice gearing
