  1. took out all the old sealer and put in some new stuff, then i primed it after alot of work i finnaly got half of the inside primed the old bumper was pretty well shagged so i got another one in very good condition its ready to be painted so im going to drop it up to the painters tomorrow. i just want to do the bumper to see if i like the color.
  2. any more pics of that car? thanks
  3. ya there cv's i quite like them, i dont want to put on the usual rc's i was going for bbs rs's but i need a wheel that will clear 330-340mm discs and porsche gt3 front calipers. i was putting boxster calipers on the front but they have now found a new home on the car :bonk:
  4. if i get them i will use both of them but now im thinking either cut the number plate recess or make a stealth duct in the bottom grill and pipe the air up to the intercooler.
  5. http://www.arz-tuning.de/shop/product_i ... nlets.html was thinking of getting these to pipe air into my intercooler instead of cutting a great big dirty hole in my bumper. im going to make a fiber glass cowling infront of the intercooler and pipe the air into it. should supply loads of air and will look alot better.
  6. never really thought about it, would be a nice job as i enjoy it. i was thinking of going into engineering.
  7. i have to sort out the mounting of the intercooler and oil cooler before it goes to paint so i had a look at it tonight. im fairly happy with the position and the pipe work is as good as its going to get. have a look and see what you think. opinions welcome. the pipe will be alloy and im getting it tig welded to the intercooler the pipe work is going to be 3" to 2.5" reducer from my throttle body. from there to the turbo will be 2.5".
  8. it was my first time doing one of these so there not that good
  9. wheres the cheapest place to buy these in 4x100 17" antracite speedline chrono
  10. ive had my corrado for a year and its a piece of crap but even in the state its in now i always take a second look at it before i leave the shed. yes i know im sad but i cant help it :help:
  11. just a small update before i go away for the weekend. got the panel welded in and then i did this than i went completely made and cut some more out. (the red smudge is my blood) starting to put it back together nearly there. (the brown stuff is smoke from the welder) welded up the gaps in the panels all done, dont worry in this pic i hadnt finished cleaning up the bottom so thats why theres snots along the bottom edge. there was a pretty big dent in the rear quarter and i couldn't get it from inside so out it came. beat it into shape and popped it back in the inside is pretty much there just need to give the whole thing a sand and throw on some primer. its so close to going to the body shop. cant wait
  12. what type of box was that origionally, 02j? a cheap and easy way to get 6 gears is use a 02s, just use a o2j bell housing and lsd then you can use the cable drive speedo. goes straight in without and other modifications.
  13. work at the weekends. i must admit i think im a bit mad spending over £1000 on suspension but they do look lovely and are the dogs bo**ox :D
  14. double post didnt even know i did it :confused4:
  15. took out the rear windows, easy enough found some rust on the passenger side, its not too bad sorted the rust then striped it all back to bear metal and primed it with acid 8 next job, sort out the rear pannel when i have the pannel welded back in i am going to cut the whole bottom off the rear pannel and put a new piece in. little bit messy, been doing some sandblasting mostly around the rear to clean up all the seams
  16. the thing people dont realise is this car was done in 2002 which is way before mtm had a bolt on kit. this car is the prototype so eveything under the bonnet was custom made which means the bill was so big im shocked every time i hear it
  17. the thing that really amazes me is the fact that the car has done nearly 80,000 miles since the conversion and never not even once had any problems, which is somthing that cant be said for most modified cars, mtm really know their stuff but they do charge alot. as for the wheels, the man that built the car put them on, they were bought brand new in 2002 and cost £800 a peice without rubber. as far as im concerned they suite the car perfect, fat wheel for a fat car.

  20. got some engine parts (genuine of course) and the owner of the body shop came over today to have a look at the car so hopefully it will be going for paint soon.
  21. started on the shell and 5 hours later i was left with this some really nice brass work waiting for the wire to cut the windows out, then i can finish off the shell.
  22. get siemens 630cc injectors, they have the right spray pattern for a multi-port head and they will give you some room if you ever want to up the power in the future.
