got some pieces of stainless machined to fit over the 3" pipe so i could make joiners because i couldn't find anyone that does joiners for 3" exhaust when i got them i cut the slots and holes so i could put a clamp on them i got a secondhand miltek box that had only been used for no more than 10 minutes heres some pics of the finished exhaust i made dont worry the cable ties arent permanent
-
while i was waiting for my crank seal and water pump i decide to sit the engine in place and make a start on the exhaust. plenty of room for the exhaust from a few peices of 3" stainless pipe to this
-
i wish i could but they wont fit over my brakes :( i need at least 400mm across the inside of the wheel
-
its alot less complicated than it seems. it only took a day to clean and paint all the parts and fit the lsd

i haven't updated the thread in awhile because i have been in california so heres a pic of some of the stuff i brought home for the car while i was there i got to have a look around one of these (thats me sitting in it) then we just happened to be passing this place and luckely there was a show with stuff like this in it and the famous cork screw

im in california at the moment so i wont update the thread until i get home. im bringing home loads of tasty bits for the corrado so i will have plenty of new parts to fit :D
-
heres my brothers and heres mine you never said there had to be an engine in it
-
i left it in the parts washer over night and then flushed it out with a heavy duty alloy wheel cleaner to get the black gunk off it

very nice car, the eyebrow spoiler and the front and rear lights arnt to my taste but i adore those seats :luvlove: go for the 20vt, the 16vt will break your balls and wont be practical as a daily. get a good low mileage 20v, dont modify it at all and drop it in. nice and very reliable 150, 180 or 225bhp i know a lad that has a proven 360bhp 16vt in a mk2 and while its great fun its given him nothing but trouble good look with the conversion if you decide to go ahead with it

when people put on performance intake manifolds too flow more air they usually dont bother doing any headwork beacuse the 12 intake valves seem to more than able to handle the extra air flow.
-
i have three or four other looms so ill put the right conector on the loom and go from there. its getting custom mapped on a rolling road so if i do need to adjust anything it can be done then.
-
sorry ive already sold the old one
-
the old agu throttle body is 2" where as the abf one is 3" so it will flow more air :thumbleft: i havent talked to qpeng about it yet so im not sure if the ecu will need re-calibrating
-
nearly there, just waiting on some parts and i have stuff in america that ill bring home with me i found out why no one puts a abf throttle body on an agu intake manifold but i managed to make it fit. its 3" compaired to the standard 2"

i took the cover off the end of the crank so i could sandblast it, this meant i had to open the big bolt in the end of the crank which was the tightest thing i have ever opened( i bought a new bolt so i wanted to take the old one out anyways) i spent a hour or two today cleaning and spraying the block degreased then i sandblasted the block jenoseal to keep the rust at bay then a few coats of gloss black
