  1. Clear the codes and drive the car to see if they return, they could be old codes from your fiddling? pedal sensor would be my first point of call for the intermittent light
  2. If the system is more relliable when the engine bay is hot - suspect dry solder joints on the pumps PCB If the light appears during / after braking suspect the pedal position sensor (this again is dry solder joints and is a DIY fix - I'd do this first anyway and there's no need to break into the brake hydraulics.
  3. I'f the system is as it left the factory and is a UK car and the self check is as normal (IGN on - light on - self check - light off) the system is declaring the wiring and sensors OK? What codes do you get?
  4. If the sensors were short or open circuit the light would be on the dash? Does your light come on when you turn the ignition on? Then go off after it’s self check?
  5. https://angliacarauctions.co.uk/classic/sat-6th-sun-7th-november/1994-vw-corrado-vr6/
  6. I’ve pm’d Stuart Taylor who has corrado tdis
  7. Someone needs to remove the Bentley images as Toby can get aggro over them
  8. Damaged wheel sensor causing water ingress. Air gap between the sensor and reluctor ring - bent / rusty reluctor / rust behind the sensor elongating the air gap. ECU is being fed duff info causing it to make a correction
  9. EDL is fitted on Corrados with ABS ECU suffixed with an E 1H0 907 379 E For those who don't know the ecu is located on the passenger side behind the kick panel by the passengers left ankle on RHD UK cars. The ecu can suffer water ingress Apart from weird braking effect I can't see any discription of the actual fault?
  10. You could always message the op for any info he might have?
  11. There's no indication of mileage, or if the car runs, no open bonnet pics etc I'd base any valuation on the being nothing under the bonnet of any value TBH The first obscured letter is an A?
  12. From what was said the guy was vulnerable and was preyed upon by dealers I think? the red ones in plain view have rub strips so can’t be that one
  13. The only red cars I remember here are Jamie and Jamiehamy, neither carry the M116 reg
  14. Photos of sleepy Derbyshire village rocked by police raid - Derbyshire Live (derbytelegraph.co.uk) There's a few red ones
  15. There was that place in Derby raided earlier this year, could be from there?
  16. A few fitted them back in the day, I bet there's a build thread on here somewhere for that
  17. Anything is possible, does the engine number match the V5? Does the V5 state 2.8 or 2.9? You can order a build certifacate from Germany A 2.8 with 2.9 inlet mani and throttle will only be a few BHP down from a 2.9 anyway. Some 2.9s were oil burners when new, with there being no low level light on them many were run low, some even ignored the low oil pressure light thinking the sensor was faulty (I actually heard this conversation at AmD in Oxford in 1999). With 2.9s at a premium and 2.8s more available the 2.8s were swapped in
  18. You still have an opening for the wires to navigate? I suspect most issues have been brought about with hosepipes and pressure-washers?
