  2. I’ve pm’d Stuart Taylor who has corrado tdis
  3. Someone needs to remove the Bentley images as Toby can get aggro over them
  4. Damaged wheel sensor causing water ingress. Air gap between the sensor and reluctor ring - bent / rusty reluctor / rust behind the sensor elongating the air gap. ECU is being fed duff info causing it to make a correction
  5. EDL is fitted on Corrados with ABS ECU suffixed with an E 1H0 907 379 E For those who don't know the ecu is located on the passenger side behind the kick panel by the passengers left ankle on RHD UK cars. The ecu can suffer water ingress Apart from weird braking effect I can't see any discription of the actual fault?
  6. You could always message the op for any info he might have?
  7. There's no indication of mileage, or if the car runs, no open bonnet pics etc I'd base any valuation on the being nothing under the bonnet of any value TBH The first obscured letter is an A?
  8. From what was said the guy was vulnerable and was preyed upon by dealers I think? the red ones in plain view have rub strips so can’t be that one
  9. The only red cars I remember here are Jamie and Jamiehamy, neither carry the M116 reg
  10. Photos of sleepy Derbyshire village rocked by police raid - Derbyshire Live (derbytelegraph.co.uk) There's a few red ones
  11. There was that place in Derby raided earlier this year, could be from there?
  12. A few fitted them back in the day, I bet there's a build thread on here somewhere for that
  13. Anything is possible, does the engine number match the V5? Does the V5 state 2.8 or 2.9? You can order a build certifacate from Germany A 2.8 with 2.9 inlet mani and throttle will only be a few BHP down from a 2.9 anyway. Some 2.9s were oil burners when new, with there being no low level light on them many were run low, some even ignored the low oil pressure light thinking the sensor was faulty (I actually heard this conversation at AmD in Oxford in 1999). With 2.9s at a premium and 2.8s more available the 2.8s were swapped in
  14. You still have an opening for the wires to navigate? I suspect most issues have been brought about with hosepipes and pressure-washers?
  15. The problem with sealing the relays inside anything is once water gets inside it just makes matters worse with condensation unable to escape? id just secure the current relay set up to the battery with Velcro or sticky pads and make a deflector plate to stop water from the grill soaking them in a downpour. Heat from the engine and airflow from the grill should keep them dry?

    Indicator Relay

Its probably been revised, the parts guy can’t be arsed to look up for the revised part number. I had the same issue with Audi a few weeks ago for a TT CV boot, it’s the same as MK5 golf apparently I’ll bet Keyo will find the new part number with ease
  17. Battery connections and earth connection to engine / gearbox - clean, tight, intact?
  18. I had a similar issue with my clutch, after several weeks the clutch slave Cylinder failed over night leaving no puddle of fluid underneath the car. Easy fix on these cars. Engine braking sounds like a fuel supply issue? On my car the pump mounts inside the swirl pot inside the tank had rotted causing starvation on bends / roundabouts on low fuel levels - this usually affects early cars as late have a different pump set up. It could also be fuel relay, immobiliser issue. Watch the dash when it happens to see if the tacho falls to zero or still reads when the issue happens Are you a paid member?
  19. Think about it, to rev up the engine needs air containing oxygen to burn. Throttle sticking. Idle valve sticking Manifold leak after the throttlebody - vac lines, PCV / hoses, gaskets etc
