  1. My favourite is people that approach a dual lane roundabout on the inside lane, and without even looking just cut straight across the roundabout into the outer lane, then exiting they rejoin the inner lane! :? This is why I will never drive alongside people on roundabouts, for some reason a lot of drivers don't seem to know what the markings on the road are.
  2. Well Wendy, I must say you have probably just made many male friends on this here forum, a woman that every man has ever dreamed of, well apart from those who don't like women. :) And yes, life is certainly easier on your own but sometimes things aren't always meant to be easy.
  3. If I had a couple of grand for a really top notch spray job then yeah, I reckon I'd settle for the C, so no apology needed mate, good choice! :)
  4. My mates RX-8 doesn't even come with a spare, he just gets a Mazda repair kit! I always thought a spare was part of the MOT, and anyhow a repair kit isn't much good if he has a complete blow-out.
  5. Surely H8RRA has concluded this thread with that?!
  6. I'd settle for a cup of tea and a roll-up.

If fuse 21 has not blown (do check properly for hairline fractures) then start by disconnecting all parts (in turn) that run from fuse 21 (said above), although if any of the said parts are shorting then the fuse should blow unless a higher amp has been fitted, should be 15 amps.

Not true Kev, my fuse kept blowing (21) which turned out to be some tiny filings inside the sunroof switch shorting the circuit. The MFA display still worked but would keep resetting itself upon starting. Fuse 21 runs the MFA, S/R and interior light switch, CL and cigar lighter. If fuse 21 continues to blow then start by disconnecting the cigar lighter and then work from there checking the above.
  9. The information I have given comes from a chap who works for a tyre manufacturer, he knows his stuff and obviously knows how to keep tyres in storage, the basics are cool, dry and dark.

Fuse 21 is the one IIRC
  11. A woman will only suck you dry of all the available cash you have for getting the C sorted out. Woman, Corrado, Woman, Corrado....hmm which one....which one feels better when you get inside? Good man you know it makes sense!
  12. I'm sorry about Billy....your goat....and again for being so gruff What was this topic about BTW?
  13. Ideally you want to lay each one flat (not on top of each other), if you can't do this you can store them upright but remember to rotate them every month or so, to prevent flat-spots.
  14. Store them flat, off of the floor indoors, cover them from light and preferably away from heat and humidity. AFAIK they should be inflated to around 15 psi so as to keep them in perfect condition. :)
  15. I apologise in advance for anyone that has recently had their goat die, my condolences go out to you.
  16. Nothing worse than a shiny inanimate object, it will make you feel worse, seeing that oh so shiny thing that doesn't do anything. Make it work! You have to, would you bother shampooing a dead goat? No I didn't think so. The above message was typed while being p*ssed.
  17. I was feeling just like you are now mate after a couple of feck ups on my C, I agree people don't give a sh*t these days, as long you pay them the cash for the job thats all they care about. At the moment you are understandably gutted but once the car is sorted and you've given it a damn good polishing you'll be back up again!! :)
  18. I do feel for you mate, when some twat in his Mini drove up my arse and fecked my bumper I couldn't drive the car until it was sorted, I didn't even want to look at it, let alone clean it! Keep positive and everything will turn out great. It's unfortunate that customer service is sh*te these days, companies are more interested in annual profits than good quality service...shame.
  19. Yeah the 6R4, totally forgot that car ever existed, dangerous is an understatement!!
  20. Golf for me, I don't love 'em but I like 'em a lot more than the A3.
  21. Thats the road I went down, I wonder if that's the reason why the overall service is so bad? Insurance companies do tend to pay these "recommended" places less than it would be privately, do the RAC treat it as an insurance job and give it less attention?
  22. What I do miss nowadays, due to it being so easy for the youngsters to buy brand new cars, is the plethora of real sh*te there once was on the roads! When I was a teenager a lot of the cars on the road were proper bangers, and people had a laugh doing them up, but it was still fun to see. These days unless the 17 year old straps up a spanker, or gets his poor parents to be guarantors for a 5 year loan thats gonna be fecked in 3 months, they'll buy a reasonable car, spend 20K on it and it will thrash a fecking Porsche GT! I do find the lack of teenagers bolting on bits of wood and perspex on their cars is a shame, how many youngsters now have a brand new car before they're 20 years old? Yeah I still enjoy seeing the many nutcases out there who have chucked all kinds of things on their car, but the majority of these are already nice/new cars to begin with. No fun or experience, no getting your Dad to help you spray your wheels or fill in the rust spots. It's all to easy these days and I don't think it's right somehow.
  23. If I were you I'd go for a complete respray, bill the feckers first though 'cos you could be waiting ages for the cheque. Also contact the highest person you can at RAC, far more likely to get a result that way. I wasn't that impressed when the RAC fitted a screen for me a while back, way too much adhesive which I can see from the cabin and the wiper arm surround hasn't been replaced 100%. Complete cowboys. I would have killed the bas*ard for even trying to bullsh*t me!
  24. I look back at my youth when I owned Mini's, Cortina's and think yeah, good times but I certainly don't miss all the paying out I had to do to keep the feckers on the road.....hang on a minute.....
