Have used them a couple of times with no probs :thumbleft:

To get them lovely and shiny-smooth, give them a really good go with 1000 grit wet and dry with plenty of water. Then use 1400 grit. Then use a cutting compound such as Safe Cut (yellow bottle from Halfords) and polish the hell out of them.
  3. The side window-line/profile reminds me of the last Civic Type-R. Not a good thing.
  4. Joniboy, is that seriously you?! I must owe you some royalties!
  5. The wheels went for 45 Euros!!! Can't believe it. I offered him 200, but he still wouldn't ship- strange guy...
  6. Nice one- saw a green 16v today- really like MK3's.
  7. Joniboy, like your avatar, by the way
  8. Don't do it! The ride and handling is compromised too much with 17's (IMHO  ), let alone 18's! Think they look too big on the C too.
  9. C. Will Corrado G60 2, not sure when they'll be available- sometime in the next couple of months.
  10. That's a good price. Inpro are doing fog/indicator sets soon, which may work out cheaper. There is also someone on here (from USA) who supplies replacement fog lenses- can't remember who though!
  11. You sure do! We'll all be expecting a full report on your return! Lucky bugger
  12. No worries, Eric! Going back so soon? More car stuff?
  13. Gonna bid on some wheels that finish tomorrow. They are located near Dortmund and the seller won't post. They're exactly what I'm after and look like they'll be a very good price. However, they won't be worth travelling for, as petrol, ferry and time will all add up to too much :? Know it's a long shot, but can anyone help me out? Cheers!
  14. You said it, buddy! I'm useless with that sort of stuff too!
  15. Blimey, bit of a beast! What's with the lez interlude? It's like one of those subliminal messages cut into films that you only see for a second or two a la Fight Club.
  16. Got the ARB drop links and bushes changed, and front brake pads. They couldn't do the belts though, cos the monkeys at Northfield VW gave me totally wrong ones  It's so annoying because it all wastes so much time. Northfield are my nearest VW Stealer and they're a 40 min drive away, my garage is 30 minutes away. Blakes (my local VW specialist) have kindly booked it in again for Friday morning (although they're very busy) and are providing the belts themselves.
  17. These marks actually look quite similar to what was happening to my last black VR. It got progressively worse until it looked kind of 'greasy' all over. I had it machine polished and it came up as good as new. A couple of months later though it had reappeared :? Used Safe-Cut, and it worked perfectly first time. Then it came back, and the Safe-Cut didn't work too well after that. Basically, there was something wrong with the laquer, and it can only take a few 'cuts'. Got it resprayed for £150-ish.
  18. Jim, have you tried Safe-Cut? Yellow bottle from Halfords. I'm yet to find something better for sorting out dull/marked paintwork. Cheap too
  19. Think they're both OK. Volkscars seem to get hold of some very good standard examples- and you pay for it. Think Jim bought his first Rado from TCS? Could be wrong. They always seem to be a bit more realistically priced, but they don't seem as picky as Volkscars as to what they sell.
  20. Nice looking VR there. Love the wheels and interior. Are there many Corrado's in Spain?
  21. Don't think I'd do it personally, but think they actually look quite good, and a bit different. Each to their own.
  22. Looks excellent! Get yourself a panel filter, and just remove the snorkel from the front of the airbox.
