I know I'm being immensely thick, but are the shocks height adjustable as well as damping adjustable? There wasn't a spanner in the kit, so I assumed they weren't.

The right hand side of clocks has always been dim, and I thought it was just a bulb. However, the other day, I hit a nasty pothole and hey presto, the lights came on fully. Then I hit another bump a few minutes later and it went off again! Obviously there is some sort of loose connection. Any pointers before I go ripping the clocks out? Cheers

Had a Koni Sport kit fitted by Stealth last Tuesday. The shocks are TAs, and the kit should give a drop of 30-40mm. However, the ride height looks just the same as it did before! :? To begin with, I thought that maybe the kit needed to 'bed in', but it's been nearly a week and it still looks the same :( Any ideas? Cheers

Zoolander!

Blimey, Nikki, leave it alone!  Where did you get it done? Looks awesome

16v, cheers :) Yeh, always liked the 'Boxer' shape. Only prob is, it's Scorpion, so didn't fit very well at all  Stealth managed to sort it in the end, although it does knock a little. Sounds and looks perfect though 8) Got a KR cam fitted too. Makes a bit of difference. Car certainly feels quicker and revs better. Had a Koni TA kit fitted, and the car is soooo much better now. The floaty/clonky ride has totally gone now, and it handles so much better. The ride height doesn't look much different though :? Will it take a few days/journeys to 'settle'? Got a VT front mount fitted too as the standard mount had totally snapped and the engine was trying to jump out of the car  Much better now!

Nik, nah, am determined to keep it! My wife said she won't let me sell it either :D  Mind you, after paying out quite a hefty bill at Stealth, and finding out that all the bushes need replacing too, the thought briefly crossed my mind! Then the wiper motor packed up on the way home...

Gotta be one of the nicest looking cars ever made- stunning! Interior looks a bit 'functional' though!

Here's a couple of really crap quality pics from my day at Stealth :)

That's the best wedding car ever! 8)

Or your footmat is caught under the pedal

What a horrible sight :( Glad you're OK though, mate :)

grimmy, is it Autotech? Just down the road :) Not particularly cheap, but they're very good. They sprayed the grilles on my vRS and did a brilliant job.
-
Hey, grimmy, just noticed your from Stroud! I'm just down the road in Wotton- I'll keep an eye out for you 8) Nice VR by the way!

General concensus is that original shocks + lower springs is a no-no. The shocks won't last long. Best set up seems to be Koni TA shocks + H&R springs. I'm getting a Koni TA kit fitted tomorrow. My budget won't stretch to the H&Rs at the mo. BBS wheels are 8) As for remapping a VR, don't think it makes that much difference unless you've made other significant mods as well such as a charger.

Liking those wheels 8) -
Cheers y'all 8) Quite pleased with the tails. Saved me £130 odd too, was gonna buy some smoked Inpros! Will probably get some eventually, but they're quite low on my list of priorities

Lovely mota! The interior goes perfectly with the Aqua 8)

Well done, Jim! Really pleased for you :D 8) Congrats on the sale to Scarlett too, although I'm sure you're really gonna miss her :(
-
Sounds fantastic. Have you still got the K&N on it?
-
One of my friends had a blue 1.8 16v for years which had beige factory fit leather 8) There's quite a few G60s around with leather, and a few valvers, but yeh, seems to be mainly VR6s.
-
Completed my first mods (tinted tails & front headlight reflectors) and just given it a clean 8) What do you guys think of the tails? Really couldn't decide on smoked tops or red. Went with smoked 'cos I had a can of the stuff in the garage. Soz about the quality of the pics  -have to make do with my phone :(
-
I know, I know- I'm just jealous at the end of the day! It's such a gorgeous car! I think that pic makes the ride height look particularly bad  It was the next thing on my to-do list before I sold it. Wheels were priority though- the wheels that were on it when I bought it were :pukeright: Here're a couple more for you

  Looking good! Didn't realise you'd got that in- when did you get it?
